Only 9% of African youth are enrolled in higher education—far below the global average of 38%. This gap denies millions of young talents the opportunities they need to shape their futures. UNESCO is stepping up efforts to close this gap. By rethinking education systems and investing in access and quality, the potential of Africa’s vibrant youth can be unlocked to drive innovation and sustainable development. Together For Peace And Sust. Devel.

We look after peace and a sustainable development of the vulnerable community in Democratic Republic of Congo.

17h

Our greetings to you, Mr/Mss! We are Together for Peace and Sustainable Development (TPSD), a Non-Governmental Organization under Congolese law for the promotion of peace and the protection of the environment. Among our priorities for the year 2025 there is assistance to the Kanyaruchinya and Lushagala refugee camps, these are refugee camps around Goma, capital of the Nork-Kivu province in the Democratic Republic of Congo; where we observe environmental degradation every day. The lack of awareness and tools to manage waste accentuates environmental problems that expose these vulnerable populations to serious risks with direct impacts on public health. While waiting to send you the detailed project, we are already asking for your collaboration as an expert in this specific field. Sincerely

Untapped potential! It's truly disheartening that only 9.4% of African youth access higher education, a stark contrast to the global average of 38%. This disparity isn't just a missed opportunity for individual growth; it's a collective loss. Imagine the groundbreaking innovations, the impactful leadership, the vibrant cultural contributions that remain dormant due to limited educational access. Let's bridge this chasm. Investing in quality education is an investment in Africa's future – a future brimming with brilliance and boundless possibilities.

We're working tirelessly to take out the exact problem of Africa concerning educational system. The system seems to be complex in some regions because our report shows that some communities requires more enlightenment on education than any other thing. We need a collaboration and support from international organizations such as UNESCO for making mission 2030 achievable.

The situation is very bad, and I think Uneco can help by creating schools in many countries without spendind a lot of Money. Such situation is the risult of mass poverty in African countries. Since African Youth are mostly invest their future in mass migration as we always see, it's important to make programs with the Governments.

At first, it may seem like a failure, but if we choose to see the glass half full, it's a world of opportunities for the future, and it indeed confirms that Africa is a (the) continent for the future...

In Africa, fewer than 10% of students are enrolled in high school, highlighting the urgent need for accessible, quality education. This stark reality calls for collective action to bridge the educational gap, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to their community.
