As a founder, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of scaling and expanding your startup. But here's a crucial piece of advice: don't try to be bigger than you are. In the early stages, it's essential to embrace your size and leverage it to your advantage. Being a small startup means you can be agile, offer personalized customer experiences, and adapt quickly to feedback. It allows you to focus intensely on your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and perfect your product-market fit. Instead of stretching resources thin by pretending to be a larger, more established company, focus on delivering exceptional value and building strong, authentic relationships with your customers. Remember, authenticity and transparency are key. Your early adopters appreciate honesty and are often excited to support and grow with you. So, celebrate your startup's unique journey and use it to connect with your audience genuinely. #StartupSales #EarlyStageGrowth #BeAuthentic #StartupAdvice #0to1andBeyond #CustomerRelationships #Agility #B2BSales Shahrukh Jokhio

Just a small update from Anaika, I thought I should share it here. While we were primarily focused on tier-1 cities, surprisingly a bunch of inbound requests started coming in from tier 2 & tier 3 cities and some small towns. We were able to convert them and what I see is a lot more enthusiasm in them to source from a small startup like Anaika. Also the problem-solving for a better distribution channel to serve them is helping us think in directions we never thought we would when we started Anaika. I feel if we manifest and align ourselves to our goals, the goals also start seeking us. #startupstories #anaika #onwardandupward #beinganentrepreneur #growthmindset

Starting a business is like playing Jenga. One wrong move and it can all come crashing down Says Khadim the co-founder of Whatfix, a startup that could become India’s next unicorn It’s exactly what happened to them with search enabler, Khadim and Vara’s first startup. They had to make a move that could have been their last Search enabler had one small feature called fix-it which allowed small businesses to improve their website and social media visibility So after 3 days of intense discussions the duo decided to pivot to focus on fix-it. It could have been the wrong move that ended their busiess It was a risk but it paid-off. Within a week, the soonicorn Whatfix was born Their journey leading up to the week that changed their lives started well before search enabler Khadim and Vara were colleagues. They spent years working together building the BI product line for Huawei The stint helped them get comfortable with taking risks. They experimented a lot and so when the time came to quit and startup the fear of failure was gone It took a decade of building confidence and trust in themselves and each other for Whatfix to become an overnight success Join us on this week’s episode as I talk to Vara and Khadim, the co-founders of Whatfix. It’s an incredible story of a business that is built to last Amid the decline in SaaS valuations since the peak in 2021, this softbank vision-fund company is in talks with Warbur Pincus to double their earlier valuation due to their astonishing growth in an stagnating Industry https://lnkd.in/ggRumhhg

Note to self: Good partners are hard to find. And they’re so critical for startup founders. Last month I decided to invest in a relationship with Innovatemap to design the first version of our product and … I couldn’t be happier. The team possesses a lot of the qualities that I look for when creating new relationships: 1. Shared values 2. Open communication 3. Active listening 4. Absence of ego 5. Intelligence These qualities are not limited to design & development partners. It's something all partners should have; VCs, affiliate & strategic partners, and potential team members. This lesson in good partnership is one of the most important lessons I've learned since starting this journey and the most important lesson I need to keep in mind for the year ahead. Thank you, Spencer Abrams, Kate Harrison, Jake Ledford, Ashley King #startup #founderjourney #founderlife #notesalongtheway

The moment I realised my startup was more than just a dream… There’s a moment every founder dreams of - a moment that shifts everything. For me, that moment came sooner than expected. I had set a bold goal: to hit $10k/month in revenue. But what I didn’t anticipate was hitting that target months ahead of schedule. It was a brilliant milestone, that seemed like just a pipe-dream not too long ago. But what really surprised me, was hitting $50k/month before I’d even put it on my goals board! 💥 That was the moment I realised - this startup isn’t just a dream anymore. It’s real, it’s growing, and it’s just the beginning... Although it’s not about the revenue, it’s about being able to scale and work with even more start-ups that have incredible products that want to make a difference. This is what truly get’s me excited about Anyday Design. I’ve built a business that allows me to help so many companies, and get to build products that I would want to use myself! The targets we once thought were ambitious are now our stepping stones, and the possibilities are endless. This journey has taught me the power of setting goals, staying adaptable, and most importantly, believe in the vision even when it feels like a distant dream 💭

Is My Startup MVP Viable? How Should I Decide on Next Steps? Answers: https://lnkd.in/eNuHdK_A #StartupJourney #DecisionMaking #EntrepreneurLife Hey everyone! 🌟 I've been on quite the ride with my startup for the past 15 months—yes, I finally launched my MVP! But now I'm at a crossroads, and I could really use your insights. 🤔 Recently, a potential client hit me with a tough question: "Is there a market for what you're doing? Is it big enough?" They broke it down and estimated that my target customer segment is less than 6% of the total population in my country. Yikes! That's a bit daunting. I'm running a multi-faceted marketplace. I'm seeing decent traction on the "demand side," but the "supplier side" has been challenging. 😔 Competition is fierce! I had hoped suppliers would flock to me, but getting them on board has proven to be a real struggle. My niche is in real estate, and I'm bootstrapping all of this while juggling two jobs. My time is limited to about 30-35%. 💼 This startup is my first baby. I dove in without knowing much, and recently, I've started seeing those tiny crumbs of revenue! Honestly, it was an emotional ride just to get here. Now,...
