♠ Last week, we hosted our final #UjimaWednesday workshop, How to Play Spades, at Nubian Markets. Ujima staff introduced the basics of Spades, creating a fun and interactive environment where participants practiced their skills and left ready to join the table without fear of being clowned! ❣️Special thanks to Nubian Markets for hosting and providing amazing food, and to Ujima staff members Mari Gashaw, Rei Fielder, Geo Costomiris, JaNoah Daley, and Nia Evans for leading the workshop.

We're On 🟠 Gelato for an episode with LayerZero Labs founder Bryan Pellegrino hosted by Gelato founder Luis Schliesske The Omnichain Future is Here. LayerZero is the TCP/IP of Web3. Diving deep into LayerZero V2 release, the masterplan for cross-chain communication. A quick blink into bridging and the future of omni-chain interoperability. LayerZero V1 was great, but it came with two design flaws 👇 ➡️ Relayer outage could halt cross-chain tx's as a single point of failure ➡️ Complex security setup hinders adoption due to cumbersome UX LayerZero V2 tackled previous issues & leveled up with the added functionality 👇 ➡️ A verification module with Decentralized Verification Networks (DVNs) for customizable security models ➡️ Decoupling security & execution enabling permissionless execution ➡️ Optimized Gas efficiency for increased protocol flexibility ICYMI, Layer Zero v2 is on mainnet and Gelato supports with a dedicated Gelato DVN1 👇 Gelato DVN1 provides a unified cross-chain messaging solution for Gelato RaaS users and beyond. Gelato DVN1 stands out with its decentralized validator consensus that removes single points of failure with 3/5 validators executing the transactions in parallel. Those NEW LayerZero V2 features strengthen three core principles: Immutability, permissionlessness & censorship resistance. Watch the episode on Twitter, on YouTube, or Spotify. There is a pokemon that looks like a sushi called Tatsugiri and there is a bunch of nonsense you must know about this guy. “Tatsu” means “stand” in Japanese and “giri” refers to “nigiri zushi” which is the type of sushi you make like this. The Japanese name of this pokemon is Sharitatsu. “Shari” refers to the rice part of a nigirizushi and “Tatsu” is again, stand. It’s because it’s common knowledge in Japan that rice that was cooked well stands vertically. There are three forms to this pokemon to deceive predators or something. Curly form which looks like a shrimp sushi. Stretchy form which looks like an egg sushi. And Droopy form which looks like a tuna sushi. And to make things worse, there is a real deep-sea creature that looks exactly like a Tatsugiri. The scientific name is Rocinela oculata. It’s called Uonoshirami in Japanese. Good luck trying to fall asleep with that idea 😂. Hi, I’m Kyota, the author of Amazon Best Sellers [Folk Tales of Japan], [Underdogs of Japanese History], and [Horror Tales of Japan].
