UGT International’s Post

UGT International reposted this

Exciting News from UGT!   We recently arranged an insightful online presentation with our overseas suppliers, focusing on ethical sourcing and combating modern slavery. It was an engaging and informative session where we discussed the importance of responsible practices in our supply chain.   Our Ethical Sourcing Code outlines the minimum expectations for compliance with UGT’s Ethical Sourcing & Modern Slavery Policy. We have communicated to all our overseas suppliers to display the Code of Conduct poster in accessible areas for all workers to ensure legal compliance and must promptly notify UGT in writing of any actual or suspected breaches.   Together, we are committed to promoting ethical practices and transparency across our supply chain. It would be great to have continuous improvement initiatives that define a code of conduct for ethical sourcing. I suggest that this information be translated into the local language where manufacturing takes place and displayed on factory notice boards. It should also be acknowledged and countersigned by each supplier, andI return suppliers share social certificates like SA8000 or SEDEX certified with UGT. This will enable UGT to implement a comprehensive supervision and assurance process.

Great work UGT Team
