What’s the secret to our roundtables? 😎 Our Islington roundtable was a huge success! Find out for yourselves in our recap video below. 📹 What did we prioritise? 👇 🧑🤝🧑 People: from facilitators to our attendees and partners. We take a thoughtful, proactive and hands-on approach to make sure our programme is centred around who we’re here to serve. 📜 Content: without focus, you risk the session being scattered and lacking value. We’re clear with what outcomes we want to achieve from the start. ✨ Vibe: nobody likes events with too little food or in a room with no windows. This is why we’re intentional about the type of venue, structure, food and atmosphere we create, to ensure it doesn't feel like another boring work event. Shoutout to our dream partners for bringing this to life with us Islington Council 💙

So excited to be on the way to Ottawa this year for the 2024 the event through Meeting Professionals International ! This year I'm most excited about meeting new industry peers, connecting with current ones and the incredible education the team has put together for us. Origin stories are always special to me and this year MPI is bringing it back to where it all started at the Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa! Speaking of origins, we are extra excited to be back as an education partner once again with our amazing keynote speaker Michael Kutcher who's coming all the way from Colorado to share his story and message on "Diffabilities: A message of empowerment and inclusion for everyone" - kicking off Monday morning :-) As we're all in the start of the crazy fall conference season - here are some ways I've prepped ahead to ensure I'm at my best and conserve energy as much as possible (yes even as an extrovert - energy preservation is key) maybe these tips will help you too! 1) Connected with my buddy Shaniece Nichols to set our intentions for the event and support one another. 2) Set intentions so I'm not overwhelmed with having to do it all, as long as I meet my intentions I can feel good about the overall experience. 3) Get lots of rest as much as possible (just got back from Europe a week ago) so this does not look perfect but as long as I did my best to rest. 4) Research and see who's going to be there to make meaningful connections. 5) Set out my outfits and prep everything ahead so I feel confident and ready to go! What do you do to prep for such events when you know you need to be on the entire time? For those going there too - can't wait to see you!!!! let have some fun and make some awesome connections!

Is your church’s fall connection event designed to build relationships, or is it simply an event to attend? What strategies do you have in place to ensure your event leads to long-term engagement and not just a one-time interaction? By deploying some simple strategies, your entire event can have a completely different outcome. By re-thinking the methods used for hosting connection events, a church can host fewer connection events but expect more fruitful and effective outcomes. Get some ideas from this week's blog, "How to Easily Strengthen Your Fall Connection Event and Its Impact". 👇👇 You'll also find a free resource for planning a bridge event this fall! #EventPlanning #FallEvents #ChurchOutreach

In just 1 month, my firm can plan complex corporate events. Imagine what we can do with 3 months. ⏳ Time is the one truly nonrecoverable resource. Once it’s spent, it’s gone forever. More time = more event magic. #eventprofs

Yesterday was a day. 🤯 Some days are particular exciting, you know!? 👍 Often just because there are developments or new opportunities land or whatever. ✅ We found out we are shortlisted in the last 2 companies for a large international project in 2025 that we pitched for. ✅ We were introduced to and now have a call lined up with the organiser of a huge global event happening in 2027. ✅ We were invited to pitch for 2 large events happening in the Middle East. One is quite short notice and the other is next year. ✅ We were introduced to the organisers of another event, whose first comment to us then was ‘when we saw your website we knew we wanted you to pitch for this’. (Well done Dermot and co. 👍) ✅ Signed and returned an NDA so we can see documentation relating to a pitch process for a huge sporting event. 👍 And those were all just developments / new stuff, let alone what we have on our plates here already. I really love our work. #enablingcreativity #SafeEventsGlobal #eventsafety #crowdsafety #eventprofs #eventprofsUK

Someone recently asked me, “What are the biggest misconceptions about hosting an event in Las Vegas?” One myth is that attendees will skip sessions because they’re too busy partying all night. But here’s the truth: Las Vegas actually tends to draw even more attendees to your event. Sure, people might go out and enjoy the nightlife after your event, but that’s true no matter where you host—whether it’s Nashville, Orlando, Dallas, or New York. So how can you tackle the “party hurdle” that some corporate events might face? Be smart about it: 👉 Plan strategically: Host your welcome reception on the first night, but keep it brief. 👉 Design your schedule: Give attendees some free time to explore and enjoy all that Las Vegas has to offer. You will end up saving some money and you're able to take advantage of all this incredible and dynamic city has to offer!
