We are acutely aware of the ongoing unmet needs of the #epilepsy community, especially for those who continue to experience uncontrolled seizures. If seizures do not self-terminate, they can progress to a prolonged state with potentially life-threatening consequences. Our study presented at American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting found that people who experience prolonged seizures are 13.5 times more likely to have a seizure emergency. Anti-seizure medications (ASMs) are the most common treatment, helping many manage their seizures effectively. However, it’s essential to take medications as prescribed, keep track of dosages, and communicate regularly with healthcare providers to address side effects or adjust treatment. For some, finding the right medication can be a journey, but it’s a vital step toward seizure control and improved quality of life. At Angie Epilepsy Foundation, we offer resources and guidance to support your medication management journey. Remember, Never stop your medication even if you are no longer experiencing seizures without proper consultation. #epilepsyeducation, #epilepsyawareness, #EpilepsyCure, #epilepsystrong, #epilepsy, #epilepsywarrior Epilepsy Foundation, Epilepsy Wellness Advocates, International League Against Epilepsy, Advocating for Epilepsy Inclusion, CURE Epilepsy, ROW Foundation

Epilepsy Awareness day – Purple Day. Purple Day is a global initiative dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness, dispelling myths, and increasing support for people living with epilepsy. Purple day was created by Cassidy Megan in 2008 (She has epilepsy and wanted to get people talking about the condition). She decided to use purple because lavender is recognized as the international flower of epilepsy. #DigitalHealthcare4D #DigitalHealthcare #4DHealthware #digitalhealth #digitalmedical #healthcare #EpilepsyAwarenessDay #EpilepsyAwareness #Epilepsy #PurpleDay
