Hi Systems Engineering Folks! I just completed the NEW discovery course on System Composer, the MBSE tool integrated with Simulink and MATLAB to be powered by simulation! This course is very well done and very accessible to anyone who wants to know more about this tool! Then, just shoot me a private message to work with you on adoption of this tool in your engineering process.

The hidden costs of open-source compilers are a concern for many embedded software developers. According to Jacob Beningo, an embedded software consultant, the performance impact of different compilers can have a significant effect on real-time, microcontroller-based systems. In his recent findings, Beningo discovered that IAR outperforms GCC by 20-40% in terms of RTOS speed. His benchmarking results also unveil the impact of compiler performance on RTOS. As developers continue to evaluate the trade-offs between open-source and proprietary compilers, these findings provide valuable insights into the hidden costs of open-source compilers.
