📈 According to an exciting new report from Benevity, employee volunteering has soared in the past three years, representing a significant opportunity to drive lasting impact. In a hybrid work environment, corporate volunteering has a new purpose: it strengthens company culture, creates a sense of community and deepens employee connection. The report identifies company-supported volunteer opportunities (like the Chapter One Online Reading Volunteers Programme) as the number one factor driving corporate volunteering success. When company-supported volunteer opportunities are part of a company’s volunteer engagement strategy, the employee participation rate increases to, on average, 7.6x compared with those without these opportunities. 🤯 Looking for an online employee volunteering opportunity with measurable social impact? Join us on 6 March in London and hear about our Online Reading Volunteers Programme from some of our corporate partners including Marsh McLennan, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, CMS UK and Sir Robert McAlpine. Spent my morning reading through Benevity's new (newish...I'm a little behind) State of Corporate Volunteering report. The highlights... - Employee volunteering is growing - Investing in company and/or team led volunteering efforts increase impact - Volunteering programs play a major role in our hybrid world. So much of my work focuses on exploring the culture across all of Cisco's teams and those organizations joining us through M&A. How we support and empower leaders, create environments where careers can thrive, and create purpose for our teams has a huge impact on our business and retention. I see the impact of volunteering not only at Cisco, but also at many of the other organizations I work with. Volunteer opportunities are a great way to bring teams together, support causes that are important to our people, and create purpose. Not sure how to bring your hybrid team together...host a team volunteer event. Looking for a way to provide opportunities and visibility for junior team members...let them lead the planning of a volunteer event. Trying to build strong connections with partners across your company...bring the teams together for a volunteer event. #employeeexperience #culture #socialimpact

Transitioning into a role that focuses on Mr. Cooper’s volunteer efforts has been a significant and rewarding change for me. Throughout my years at Mr. Cooper, I’ve always valued the opportunity to give back, not just through church or social organizations, but also through my workplace. When work offers the chance to participate in volunteer activities and it becomes part of the organizational culture, it truly feels like a blessing. This shift has allowed me to achieve a better work-life balance while staying true to my passion for giving. Volunteering has always been a way for me to express my gratitude and connect with my community. The benefits I’ve gained from these experiences far outweigh the time and effort invested. It’s a two-way street where both the giver and the receiver gain positive attributes. Stepping out of my comfort zone is always a challenge for me. To better understand the corporate aspect of volunteering, I sought out this article. As someone who simply enjoys giving, I used to believe that if I touched even one person, I had done my job. However, I realized that our efforts must be meaningful and impactful, aligning with our broader goals. This understanding ties back to the importance of creating volunteer programs that resonate with employees and drive engagement. This article delves into how volunteering is perceived in Corporate America. It highlighted the importance of understanding employee mindsets and the factors that drive engagement and participation. This knowledge is crucial when planning events that aim to attract and involve employees. The article reinforced my belief that when personal passion aligns with career goals, the impact is profound. Purpose should always meet impact, and if our efforts aren’t making a difference, we need to reassess our approach. I encourage everyone to explore volunteer programs within their organizations. It’s a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and making a meaningful impact. #Volunteerism #CorporateCulture #CommunityEngagement

For National Volunteer Month, we're sharing tips for seamlessly making service a part of your organizational identity and values: Formalize It: Set annual volunteer goals, offer paid time off for service, and establish committees to organize opportunities. This signals volunteering is a real priority. Lead from the Top: Have executives volunteer alongside employees to inspire through example and create buy-in. Tap Personal Passions: Survey your team's cause interests and rotate volunteer events to align with different missions they care about. Emphasize Teamwork: Make group volunteering a bonding experience. Close the office periodically for company-wide service days. Promote Your Efforts: Recognize volunteering through internal/external communications and marketing. Sharing impact stories reinforces service as part of your brand. When volunteering is ingrained in your company's cultural DNA, the payoffs are exponential for employees, clients, partners, and the greater community. This April, take steps to make service a year-round passion! #designwithpurpose #givingback #designforgood #communityoutreach

A 57% year-over-year spike in volunteer participation—proof that when companies lead with purpose, employees follow with passion. Global trend, local impact: From Europe to Asia-Pacific, volunteering is the universal language of change. Industries from energy to finance are leading the charge, proving corporate citizenship knows no borders. 3dThat's awesome. I've been with Turo for 1 year and 1 month. It's been up and down. Side to side. But I had 6 cars in my fleet until it was total losses in Spring. But I still have 5. I love it.
