Turkish Airlines’ Post

As Türkiye’s flag carrier, we proudly represent our nation globally, expanding our network to bring more passengers the Turkish Airlines experience. Our inaugural flight to Santiago marks another milestone in connecting South America to the world. The new Santiago route strengthens ties between Türkiye and Chile, fostering tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. With the contribution of the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the Connect to Türkiye event in Chile showcased Türkiye’s heritage, natural beauty, vibrant culture, and world-renowned gastronomy to distinguished guests. With flights spanning six continents, our growing network brings people closer every day. Proud to hold the Guinness World Records title for flying to the most countries worldwide! Looking forward to many more remarkable journeys together! #TurkishAirlines

Turkish airlines should be ashamed of their quality and training of their cabin crew members. Ms. Tugba on TK 2007 (30th December from cappadocia to Istanbul) turned out be even worse. She was a racist too. Her senior was just silent on her actions and rude behaviour to all passengers. Being a star alliance gold member I have decided never to fly Turkish airlines again. Kindly train your crew to work for a global client base or else fly them locally on ground.

However, I must express my deep dissatisfaction with the explanation provided and the implications it raises about the safety protocols at Turkish Airlines. Your assertion that my failure to reach the boarding gate on time was the reason for the denial of my boarding is troubling, especially given the background of the incident. I was held up due to a misunderstanding at passport control, where I was mistakenly identified as someone who had allegedly overstayed their visa by 161 days. This mix-up was not only incorrect but also suggests significant flaws in your security and identification processes. I want to clarify that I had not been in Istanbul for over a year prior to this trip, having last departed on October 8, 2023. The fact that your system could confuse my identity with that of another individual raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of your security measures. If such a mistake can occur with a passenger like me, it begs the question: how can Turkish Airlines ensure the safety of all its travelers? If your systems fail so drastically in identifying the correct individuals, it casts doubt on your ability to detect genuine threats, including potential security risks.

FELICITATIONS TURKISH AIRLINES! I looked at the comments and would like to emphasise to criticise objectively, rather than judging on a one-time-experienced incident. To give you an example about who TURKISH AIRLINES are: In February 2015, when the Istanbul Atatürk Airport was closed for 48 hours due to heavy snowfall, this company managed to relocate, respectively organise all accommodation, transfers, etc. of approx. 6,000 passangers, who were stuck in different cities of Europe, in 12 hours. Another example - while European airlines usually go on strikes in the peak travel seasons, consequently not being able to handle luggage transfers on transit flights especially (luggage gets lost or does not make it to the transfer flight!), TURKISH AIRLINES shows the least lost luggage numbers. We would like to humbly suggest to reflect on oneself, given the fact that the world population keeps increasing and infrastructural matters cannot be solved in one day, it requires adequate time.

Furthermore, this incident reflects a broader issue of accountability. It is unacceptable that a passenger can be misidentified and subsequently denied boarding without any clear path for resolution. I was left to navigate a chaotic situation, while my elderly mother, who does not speak English, was left on the plane, unaware of my predicament. Your mention of contacting the consulate for future travel is not a practical solution to the systemic issues that led to my situation. It is the responsibility of Turkish Airlines to ensure that its passengers are treated fairly and that proper procedures are in place to prevent such errors. Given these circumstances, I request the following: 1. A thorough investigation into this incident to understand how such a significant error could occur. 2. A formal acknowledgment of the inadequacies in your security and identification processes.

Turkish Airlines expand into continents but please remember am airline does not expand without its customers and it's promise to them to fly them and their bags safely. Focus on the basics. How about learning from companies like Amazon that customer care comes first!

This is great but can you locate my two pieces of luggage that’s been delayed/lost for 4 days. We could really use our items. Thanks
