I just made an announcement at dotAI, this conference is impressive! I am amazed by Nessrine Berrama's vision to host inspiring talks in a format that allows for deep technical exchanges, but also visionary demos. dotConferences was the perfect stage for my colleague Laure Seugé and I to announce the release of Doctolib's Consultation Assistant to the Tech and AI community. The one key message I gave in my talk was to show empathy to your users, especially with AI. Here is what Gilles, a Cardiologist, says: "I re-discovered a renewed interaction with my patient, which I somehow lost because of the space I had given to the computer." The Consultation Assistant suggests a medical summary based on the voice audio of the consultation, and on the information from the patient file. It is not one AI model, but a series of generative AI models. This way, the health professional looks at the patient in the eye, instead of at their computer. If you are based in France and you go to your GP, you will experience a healthcare revolution like never before!

In our first Wisdom Session ExoAnalytic Solutions focused on highlighting newly observed maneuver patterns of space assets. That discussion walked through a couple of recent observations which highlighted just how dynamic contested space is becoming. Last week, our Iris.ai team had the opportunity to attend #NeurIPS2024 in Vancouver, Canada—a global hub for groundbreaking advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Here are some of our key reflections: 📊 LLM Evaluation Evaluation of LLMs remains a significant challenge, with no universal framework in sight. Instead, specialized multi-metric systems are emerging, emphasizing the need for context-specific evaluation techniques. ⚡ Speed vs. Accuracy With GenAI expanding into mission-critical fields like #FinTech and #Pharma, striking the right balance between speed and accuracy is essential. Agent-driven approaches are the way forward. 🧠 Managing Hallucinations The focus on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), long-term memory (LTM) integration, and task-specific fine-tuning stood out as leading approaches to addressing hallucination challenges. 📚 Advances in Multimodal Systems Multimodal models combining text, figures, and tables showcased their growing potential in document understanding and data extraction. We’re particularly interested in exploring these for enhancing our tools, such as document summarization and figure interpretation. NeurIPS affirmed that we’re on the cutting edge of innovation. On Thursday, Daniel Amsel will share his work on "Deep learning-based image reconstruction for higher resolution cardiac T1 mapping" at the ISMRM 2024. The Digital Poster presentation covers how we enable the acquisition of cardiac T1 maps with increased spatial resolution witohut increasing scan or breath hold duration. To achieve this, a modified variational network is used to reconstruct accelerated MOLLI inverion recovery images. The proposed method was inline integrated and validated both retrospectively and prospectively.
