One of the ways they actively support this mission is by encouraging their suppliers to engage with sustainability training. 📊 They firmly believe in the power of sustainability as a guiding principle for their operations. That's why they extend invitations to their valued partners to participate in sustainability training sessions held in key destinations. These sessions offer invaluable insights into how actions can positively impact the places we visit. 🌍 Annually, they organize two impactful sessions specifically focused on Travelife partners and Certification. This is their way of reaching out to all DMCs (Destination Management Companies) who are eager to embark on their sustainable journey but have yet to do so. Together, they aim to catalyse positive change within the tourism industry. We at Travelife believe that Sustainability is a continuous commitment, it's about constantly evolving and improving practices to ensure long-lasting positive impacts. An excerpt from my interview with Tourism Business and Investment Magazine – "Sustainability is about designing the present and future with consideration of many components, using experiences gained from the past. Generally, it refers to the balanced use of resources without reaching the point of depletion. The tourism sector is one of the leading sectors in the economy, acting as a locomotive, and is the first stop for tourists after their arrival in the country. It encompasses all components of sustainability, from the location they are in, the employment they generate, the efficient use and saving of energy, to the creation of recycling cycles. For this reason, the importance of sustainability in tourism is very significant. Tourism businesses are not only responsible for ensuring sustainability but also for informing their employees and visitors about the consequences of negative environmental impacts and the measures to be taken. Achieving full functionality in sustainability is not something that architects can accomplish on their own. It requires collaboration with engineers and the managers of the businesses for which you are designing sustainability. In our designs, we consider how much further we can expand the limits of sustainability. Our primary criteria include the most efficient use of natural resources and the selection of environmentally friendly materials. Additionally, one of the fundamental principles of sustainability is to meet human needs without harming the ecosystem."

SUSTAINABLE FUTURE IN FOCUS: ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN STARTS ECO-LABEL CERTIFICATION PROCESS ✅ Zell am See-Kaprun is taking another significant step towards sustainable development. With an official kick-off, the region is starting the certification process for the Austrian Ecolabel for Destinations. The aim of this award is to holistically strengthen sustainable measures and ensure sustainable development for the population, guests and nature alike ♻️ The Austrian Ecolabel is the best-known and most established environmental label in tourism in Austria and is characterised by transparent and independently verified criteria. The certification strengthens the attractiveness of the region and creates important framework conditions for practising sustainability. In a world where everyone seems to be talking the sustainability talk, it’s refreshing - and necessary - to spotlight those who genuinely walk it. Too often, brands put up glossy sustainability reports on their websites without much behind them. And let’s face it, with so much greenwashing in the industry, it can be overwhelming for travellers to figure out who’s really making a difference and where their choices will genuinely support local communities. This is why I’m shining a light on Amanruya, Aman an extraordinary example of commitment in action. For those who don’t know, Amanruya is setting a benchmark in sustainable tourism, from protecting nature and supporting local artisans to actively preserving Bodrum’s cultural heritage. They’re not just working to meet standards - they’re redefining them. Here are some standout practices that make them true pioneers: Energy Efficiency: Reducing carbon footprints through precise tracking and cutting-edge energy practices. Water Circularity: Leading with innovative water conservation techniques to ensure no drop goes to waste. Local Supply Chain: Prioritising local artisans and suppliers, keeping both culture and economy vibrant. Cultural Conservation: Working to safeguard Bodrum’s unique historical essence and traditions.
