Childcare Owners… Work HARD to make connections with your team by: 🩷 Giving consistent feedback. 🩷 Helping team members understand the measurable ways in which their work has a real impact. 🩷 Celebrating together when you reach milestones. At Themba, I publicly share every testimonial that we get from parents, I connect our wins to our vision and show them how it’s coming to life, and I share all the awards and letters that we’ve received over the years. Fostering these connections is so important because they add value to your team and create a positive workplace culture. 🙌 #businesstraveller #womeninleadership #businesscoaching #businessowner #businesstips

Emma’s article really resonates with me, and families as a whole are under strain. However, from my point of view, I enjoy taking my kids to their clubs, especially the journeys to and from. These moments provide undisturbed focus time where we can have great chats about anything and everything. I know that when my kids have flown the nest, it will be these memories I cherish the most. That said, Emma raises an important point about children’s increasingly hectic lives. We’ve embraced conversations about flexible working for adults, so why aren’t we applying the same thinking to children? As Emma says, we’ve fallen into the trap of treating them like “tiny executives,” pushing them through packed schedules. Maybe it’s time to rethink this and give kids the space to simply be kids, time for play, creativity, and connection. What do others think, how do we strike the right balance between offering opportunities and ensuring our children have time to simply enjoy being children? #Parenting #WorkLifeBalance #ChildhoodMatters #MentalHealth #FamilyLife #Wellbeing #ModernParenting #ChildDevelopment #TimeWellSpent #FamilyTime #YouthWellbeing https://lnkd.in/ejBX_5Wp

PUBLIC UPDATE; just to confirm this meeting will be virtual not vitual (whatever that means!) thanks to the lovely person who spotted my sleep deprived error 😜 💬 Do you ever hesitate to mention that you're a parent at work? Maybe you avoid talking about school pickups, or you’ve felt guilty leaving the office on time to make it to your child’s event. I’ve spoken to so many working parents who feel like they have to apologise for balancing both roles—whether it's ducking out to collect their kids or needing flexible hours. 🤯 Many of us have been there: that moment where we hold back from saying, "I have to pick up my child," because we don’t want to be judged as less dedicated or capable. It’s time we change this narrative. The Working Parent Club is a safe, supportive space where we can be open about our experiences—without guilt or judgment. It's a FREE networking event for ambitious parents to: ✅ Connect with others who understand the juggle ✅ Learn how to navigate workplace expectations and parenthood ✅ Inspire one another to feel confident balancing career and family 🗓 Next Event: Thursday 31st October ⏰ Time: 9:30 AM 💻 Location: Virtual Join us in building a community where working parents can thrive together. 💪 Sign up details here: https://lnkd.in/ev8rJQta Career and Parenthood #WorkingParents #CareerAndParenthood #WorkLifeBalance #InclusiveWorkplaces
