We do love being able to use puppy power whenever we can. It's an unfair advantage in so many ways, as the growing success stories from our wonderful charity partner Dogs for Autism UK can attest. For, while Dubber may just look like a lovely playful young dog hanging out on the beach, he's actually in training to be able to transform a life. ⁠ ⁠ A fully trained Dogs for Autism dog will open up the world for someone with autism - and their family too.⁠ ⁠ 🚶♀️🚶🏻♂️🐕🦺⁠ With the specialised support and friendship of a non-judgmental dog, it may mean that the person with autism feels safe to go out in a noisy space like a pub or a busy high street for the first time. ⁠ ⁠ 🐶 Or, because their dog is trained to recognise when anxiety is building, they may be able to prevent melt downs at home, making family mealtimes and get-togethers so much easier. ⁠ The list is almost endless as each dog is trained to help identified needs, which is why their education requires expertise and investment ⁠ ⁠ Like all small charities, Dogs For Autism always needs help and support. This can take many forms, including sponsoring a puppy, becoming a puppy parent and of course joining trundl to help us create donations for them simply by taking a walk with the trundl app⁠. ⁠ We're trundling from 1st-15th March to help Dubber and more puppies like him complete their training so they can set off with their new super powers to change some lives⁠. ⁠ One wag of a tail at a time 🐕️⁠ #autism #servicedogs #purposedrivenbusiness ⁠

Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, let's acknowledge the strengths of individuals with Autism. At Cobra Network, we're committed to cultivating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. This year, we have partnered with Support Dogs, an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with various medical conditions by training and providing support dogs to children and adults in need, this includes Autism assistance dogs. As part of our commitment, we aim to raise £20,000 to fully train a Support Dog right up to being matched with an individual in need. To kick off Learning Disability Week 2024, Sam Michael Wood and I made a short video for Friends 2 Friends, a local charity in Lichfield and Burton in Staffordshire that supports people with learning disabilities. This year's theme, "Do you see me?" focuses on being seen, heard, and valued. We spoke with the members to learn more about what this means to them. Every April, Autism Speaks celebrates World Autism Month, beginning with the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day! Today marks the 16th annual World Autism Awareness Day, which celebrates autistic individuals and provides opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity and fostering worldwide support. We are taking this opportunity to help break down the barriers to social participation for autistic individuals and their families by supporting Autism Bedfordshire - a charity which provides local support to families in our community. Food for thought... On any given day, there are approximately 450,000 children in foster care in the United States. Upon reaching age 18: Only 50% will find employment. - 20% will be instantly homeless. - 25% will be incarcerated within 2 years of aging out. - 70% of foster girls end up pregnant before age 21. - 60% end up in the Sex Industry. One of the many 501(c)3 charitable organizations that Sundt Construction and our SUNDT FOUNDATION contributes to every year is Hope & A Future who serves abused and neglected children living in the foster care system. Their purpose is to help these children reach their potential and achieve their dreams and to provide hope to one Arizona foster child at a time! Hope & A Future was formed in 2004 as a Christian nonprofit, that holds programs of summer camps, life skills, mentoring and college scholarships that provide the children the necessary tools to be successful in life. Since 2008, our Sundt Foundation has contributed $59,500.00 towards this awesome organization and today I had the privilege of visiting again to deliver another $10,000.00 as well as discuss more future opportunities to join this organization in mentoring and inspiring these young adults and giving them useful advise to succeed in the future.
