We need to rethink the concept of two-income households and instead focus on building supportive communities. If you're single and have close friends, consider ways you can support each other. This applies to both men and women. Even if you're married or in a committed relationship, you can still find ways to live cooperatively and have a communal environment. Compatible! Many people are so focused on individual ownership that they overlook the value of a shared, supportive community. Personally, I would rather have a 6 or 10-bedroom house and live with compatible people, growing and evolving together. The traditional idea of individual home ownership as a marker of success has limited our perspectives on housing. Success can also mean creating a supportive community under one roof. Of course this isn't for everybody but it would definitely help in certain ways. #TrudeanHaye
