ATTENTION FOOTBALL CLUBS As the new season kicks off next week (this Friday in Scotland with some Championship action), I'm embarking on my own version of the 92 challenge. Traditionally, the 92 challenge involves visiting every stadium within the English Football Leagues from the Premier League down to League Two—I've already visited 19 and hope to reach 30 this year. My mission, however, goes beyond just visiting stadiums. I want to help as many clubs as possible in the 92 (and beyond) with their energy needs. My goal is to support clubs in securing the best energy rates at the time of procurement, installing EV chargers, and providing ongoing support throughout the journey. Here’s how I look to achieve this: ⚽ Securing the Best Rates: By analysing market trends and timing the procurement, I aim to secure the most competitive energy rates for each club. ⚽ Installing EV Chargers: Future-proof the stadium and/or training ground by installing electric vehicle (EV) chargers, supporting sustainability, and enhancing convenience for fans and staff with EVs. ⚽ Ongoing Support and Market Updates: Receive continuous support from myself and the wider team whilst also providing regular updates on the energy market to stay informed of changes and opportunities. I will monitor energy usage and offer advice on further efficiency improvements. ⚽ Tailored Solutions: Every club is unique. I will conduct a thorough assessment of the current energy usage and develop a customized plan to meet each club’s specific needs and goals. Let’s work together to make this season not only successful on the pitch but also off it by embracing sustainable energy solutions and cost-saving measures. If you or someone you know might be interested in exploring energy-saving opportunities, feel free to connect with me or drop a message. Also, I'd love to hear about your best footballing memory! Mine has to be David Marshall's penalty save against Serbia to send Scotland to Euro 2020. Let’s reach this energy goal in the football community! #Football #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #EVChargers #92Challenge

The global football industry emits as much carbon annually as Denmark 😱 According to the Rapid Transition Alliance's "Playing Against the Clock" report, football contributes approximately 30 million tonnes of CO2. The report also highlights sustainability efforts in various European stadiums, such as West Ham's move to a decentralized energy system. What could UEFA EURO 2024 have achieved if every stadium used took bold steps to reduce their carbon footprint? Why is the Premier League still flying when they could be greening? A new campaign shines a harsh spotlight on Premier League clubs' carbon-guzzling habits. 🌍 Over 80% of clubs take flights averaging just 42 minutes! 🌍 The shortest flight? Just 27 minutes. 🌍 And most of these trips could be easily made by train or coach, which are greener options! Michael Solomon Williams from Campaign for Better Transport nails it: “Domestic flights are simply bad news for the planet.” Football has the power to lead in the fight against climate change. The creative campaign 'Black Boot' is determined to expose and shame the worst offenders into flying greener and smarter! Did you know that rail and coach options emit significantly less carbon? Football clubs, it's time to kick your flight habit and score green goals! 🌱⚽ Want to help push this green agenda? Football Championship time so at LJM Solutions we want to support to share the value of Scoring For Sustainability As a local company, we support our local teams but as the excitement of the UEFA European Championship and other football tournaments grip the nation, another game-changing event is silently making its mark: the rise of solar panel installation across the UK. While it may seem like football and renewable energy have little in common, they share a common goal: sustainability. The surge in solar panel installations has been driven by a growing awareness of the need to transition to clean energy sources and reduce carbon emissions, and solar power has emerged as a key player in the transition to a greener, more sustainable future. Just as football championships unite communities and inspire teamwork, solar panel installations bring people together in the pursuit of a common goal: combating climate change. From local initiatives to nationwide campaigns, both football and solar power foster a sense of camaraderie and collective action. Football championships attract millions of viewers and fans from around the world, providing a platform to raise awareness about important issues, including renewable energy. Just as successful football championships leave a lasting legacy on host cities and communities, solar panel installations have a long-term impact on the environment and economy. Neither football championships nor solar panel installation are isolated events—they are part of a larger movement towards sustainability and climate action. Are you ready to score a goal for sustainability by installing solar panels for your home or business? As we cheer on our favourite teams and celebrate the spirit of competition, let's also remember the importance of teamwork and collaboration in tackling the greatest challenge of our time: climate change. Together, we can kickstart a renewable energy revolution and ensure a brighter, more sustainable future for all. #SolarPower #FootballChampionships #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #UEFA #MatchDay #Football #Goal #Solarpanelinstallation #SolarPanelsforHomes #SolarPanelsforBusiness

The UEFA European Football Championship is here! Let’s hope for a tournament characterised by lots of spectacular football, great energy, sportsmanship, and no red cards. Yet, at @GRUNDFOS, we have 200 million red cards to give out, 100 million in Europe alone, to players that lower the bar, mess up the game plan, and waste too much energy. It’s only fair and right that these players are sent off the field because they ruin it for everyone. Even for those who are not into football! Join us in showing the red card to all the old, inefficient circulator pumps out there. It’s time we up the game and get real. Energy efficiency is a key factor in accelerating the global energy transition and achieving our net-zero goals. And those goals are, after all, the most important ones for us to score. Learn how you can give your energy bill the surprising savings it needs: http://spr.ly/604354plt #200MillionPossibilities #europeanfootballchampionship #UEFA #football #EnergyEfficiency #PumpReplacement #EnergySavings

Sometimes it’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry about things – so this meme brings some humour to the serious situation of the state of the River Seine for the triathlon events in the Paris Olympics and Paralympics. The clean-up operation beforehand cost €1.4 billion and training events just before the Olympic Games commenced had to be cancelled because of pollution. And then the triathlon events scheduled for the Paralympic Games had to be postponed because once again poor water quality meant the conditions were unsafe for athletes. It is because of news stories like this and the ongoing issues with water quality in our rivers and waterways that we would love people to vote for us in the upcoming WWEM (Water, Wastewater & Environmental Monitoring) Awards. Our EM-2 technology is up for most innovative instrument, product or digital solution, but it’s a very strong heat and the competition is impressive! Cast a vote for The CSignum EM-2 and you are casting a vote for cleaner rivers! https://lnkd.in/ewNTbhQi
