Do you work on a team or in a group of individuals? See, a team comes together to collaborate and build something based on inputs and ideas from all the players. A group of individuals each have their own idea that they want to implement but do not share with others to show they were right. On a team, each person knows and understands their unique position and how it will help the team win. A group of individuals does what each person thinks is best for themselves even if it slows down or causes failure of the team. The team is looking for a championship victory while the group of individuals are looking for MVP trophies or promotions. Want to be successful? Build a team that is willing to work together for success of the mission rather than a group of all-stars looking for their next MVP trophy.
