Transparent Language’s Post

You might think of language learning resources as a "nice to have" at your public library. Pick up some French before your next trip, free with your library card. Pretty cool. But for many libraries, language is becoming a "must have". They provide a critical lifeline for immigrants, migrants, and refugees who need to learn the local language ASAP just to get by. It's a big ask to provide both, especially for libraries in regions with lesser learned language combinations. But we make it manageable! We're thrilled to have done so for Danish Central Libraries (Centralbibliotek). Now every Dane—and newcomers to Denmark—can use their library card to access free language courses taught in their native language. Whether that's Danish or Dari. Learn more on the blog.
