"Hamburg shows: ridepooling can enhance the overall public transport system by adding a component that makes it more attractive.” MOIA Director of Business Development Rainer Becker discussed with Martin Bill, Staatsrat BVM Hamburg, Raimund Brodehl, Managing Director hvv, and Cornelius Kiermasch, Head of Shared Mobility at Deutsche Bahn Connect, on the topic of ‘Best practices from Hamburg: Integrated everyday mobility – the plans of the city of Hamburg' at the international trade fair for transport technology InnoTrans. Here are three takeaways: ➡️ Ridepooling can be an addition to the public transit network that encourages more people to join the overall system as it adds a component of comfort, convenience, and safety. ➡️ The public transport system can only be successful in jointly addressing mobility needs. ➡️ Digitization of the overall system is needed to make it easy to use and will be the key for more people to use public transport in their daily life. #InnoTrans2024

Gràcies to Leaders in Logistics for the perfectly organized #LiLSummit24 in World Trade Centre in Barcelona. Always a pleasure to meet old friends and new faces. Aside from the overarching discussions, one of the most frequently asked questions was, "What are your thoughts on the event?" Here are several observations: - There was a noticeable surge in the presence of companies specializing in Last Mile Delivery Management compared to previous years. While only three companies, including VanOnGo, a speaking delegate last year, this year's event in Barcelona featured an array of 8-10 companies from various parts of Europe, such as Iceland, Germany, Greece, Ukraine, and Italy. - Tools for improving the #customerexperience in the #lastmiledelivery are still present in a few of the solutions, with a majority focusing on the tech side, like route optimization, which is good for us. - Established players in the market, such as VanOnGo, demonstrated a remarkable openness to #coopetition. This ethos entailed a willingness to share insights, methodologies, technological innovations, and most importantly, collaborate to disrupt the entrenched norms of traditional delivery experiences, which are often steeped in the legacy of the 20th century. As for the partnerships - it was a pleasure to meet again Mark Williams from Woolpert Digital Innovations and many other innovators from the industry.

Already reminiscing about last week’s #EuroBusExpo and our first-ever CPT Operator Forum. We’ve loved hearing people’s feedback and seeing your pictures and videos from the event! We had a fantastic few days discussing the state of the industry, the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and how we can continue to provide better journeys for all. A few of our particular highlights from the week: 🚏 We enjoyed some illuminating panel discussions about the future of the industry, with topics including the impact of AI on coach operations, accessibility, tourism expansion and fostering workforce diversity. 🚏 It was fantastic to see so many of our members on the podium at the routeone awards – a big congratulations again to all the winners! 🚏 We were also inspired to see some of the most significant new initiatives shaping the coach and bus industry presenting at the Innovation Challenge. A huge thank you again to everyone who participated in proceedings. We even grabbed some time with Local Transport Minister, Simon Lightwood MP, who summed up perfectly just how vital our industry is to economic growth. Hear what he had to say here 👇 #Bus #Coach #CPTOperatorForum

Deliberate PR team members are off on a week-long tour of #Nordic capitals, meeting #startup and #scaleup clients and friends (old and new). For us, the process of Nordic refamiliarization always starts at Heathrow, when we spot the first ‘smiley’ customer feedback terminal made by Deliberate PR’s brilliant #Finnish client, HappyOrNot. We pushed the buttons best reflecting our experience, and are not alone: Verdane and Northzone-backed HappyOrNot’s terminals, found in airports and retail spaces across the world, have elicited well over a billion customer feedbacks since launch (a #CX first). As is only fitting for an interactive tool for gauging global happiness, invented in the country perennially cited as the world's happiest, HappyOrNot (and its CEO Miika Mäkitalo) is considered by the UK media as the authoritative source for insights on just what makes Finland tick along so very contentedly. It is with immense joy that we would like to share the arrival of Romano Garcia to the Advisory Board of Bus2. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the financial and mobility sectors, in commercial, management, and negotiation positions. In addition, he has worked at Empresa1 and Goal Systems and, recently, became the head of international business at Transdata. Romano joins Bus2 with the goal of contributing to the process of market expansion abroad, a strategy we began in 2023 with our presence at the UITP Summit, the largest public transportation fair in the world. Bus2 has already reserved a stand for the next edition in 2025, in Hamburg, Germany. To understand this appointment, it is important to highlight the professional relationship of over 20 years between Romano and Marco Littig, CEO of Bus2, and, more recently, the work done by Goal Systems—with Romano leading the General Management for Brazil—for the client GVBus, from Vitória (ES), in delivering demand-based optimization. Romano credits the success of this project to the intelligence employed by Bus2 in integrating different data sources. "Because it does things differently from what is seen and discussed in the sector so far, in data integration at different levels, I see Bus2 as one of the leading technology companies for public transportation in the next five years, and I want to be part of this growth by bringing my experience from other markets," says Romano. Welcome aboard, Romano! Let’s move forward! #UrbanMobility #AdvisoryBoard #InternationalExpansion #GlobalMarket

⏳ 100 days to go: The final countdown for InnoTrans 2024 begins... ⏳ As always, you can expect a lot from Siemens Mobility in Berlin, and this year I am even more excited about the many solutions and success stories we can share with you. In 2018, we first presented our strategy of technology leadership. We have come so far since, and now the clear benefits of digitalization and AI are stronger than ever. You will see how by combining the real and digital worlds we can transform mobility for everyone! Three (of the hundreds) of things to expect 🔍 1️⃣ How our digital technologies deliver for customers 🤝 The S-Bahn Munich will set new benchmarks for rail travel with modular software, updates via the cloud, and 100% availability while you can see our Velaro high-speed train for Egypt as the country gets ready to deliver sustainable travel to 90% of its population. 2️⃣ How our digital technologies deliver for passengers 🚄 Examples of how S3 Passenger delivers dynamic pricing, ticketing, and reservations in Spain and how through CBTC we can reduce headways from 120 to 70 seconds over a 170km network in Copenhagen. 3️⃣ How railway digitalization can take us even further 🚀 At InnoTrans 2022 we talked about the potential of Siemens Xcelerator and APIs. InnoTrans 2024 gives us the chance to demonstrate how this is already working to maximize network capacity, to deliver 100% availability and up to 100% occupancy. Data is the new gold in unlocking the potential of rail travel! Thanks to our team for the preparations so far. I am looking forward to welcoming our customers from 24th to 27th September in Berlin at hub27. You can sign up for the very latest updates with our newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/eMHXj4c7 #TransformTheEveryday #InnoTrans2024 InnoTrans, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe, Banedanmark, DSB, Sqills, National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), Ministry Of Transport - Egypt.
