Now if anywhere in the world one would bet where technological adoption can happen quickest then it must be India. Great to see such initiative and very aware of the challenges it brings with it. Adoption of Fastag RFID based ETC tolling system wasn't easy so GNSS based tolling system will involve another shift. Fastag resulted in reducing revenue leakages significantly, how will GNSS impact India toll road investment attractiveness, I wonder.

Parking lot security cameras can help reduce crime by up to 51%. They let potential criminals know they are more likely to be caught and identified. Evidence collection In the event of an incident, parking lot security cameras can capture video footage that can help identify suspects and support police investigations. Safety Parking lot security cameras can help improve safety by monitoring areas that are more prone to accidents, such as crosswalks and stairwells. They can also help detect hazards like spills or leaks. Incident response Parking lot security cameras can help alert security teams to potential threats or incidents, allowing for faster responses. Highlighting inefficiencies Parking lot security cameras can help identify weak spots or potential blind spots on a property. Insurance costs Parking lot security cameras can help reduce insurance premiums by showing insurance companies that steps are being taken to reduce crime and improve safety. Access control License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology can automatically detect and store license plate information of vehicles entering and exiting a parking lot. This can help ensure that only authorized vehicles are allowed in SHOWCASE INNOVATIONS AND HELP IMPROVE PARKING SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE https://lnkd.in/d2MgfYms

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways' introduction of GPS-based toll collection marks a significant step towards modernizing India's highway infrastructure. By leveraging GNSS technology, tolls will be collected seamlessly based on distance traveled, reducing congestion and wait times. The hybrid model integrating FASTag and GNSS is expected to increase toll revenue and enhance vehicle movement efficiency. However, challenges remain, such as infrastructure upgrades and adapting India's vast road network to this advanced system "Upgrade to our GPS tracking solutions for seamless toll payments and efficiency!" :- https://www.tracknow.in #tracknow #tnavic #gpsbasedtoll #highwayefficiency #tollcollection #digitaltolls #govtupdate #seamlesstolling #roadtechnology #satellitebasedtoll #automatedtolls #infrastructureupgrade #transportationinnovation #tollplaza #roadnetwork #digitaltransformation #vehiclerevolution

While I was stopped at a #traffic signal on my way to work, I spotted these #MakeASafetyStatement Campaign posters across the main roads in #Dubai. These statements are generated by the United Nations Special Envoy for Road Safety. 💡 The concept of the #campaign is to call for a shift in road user behavior, aiming to halve the number of road related fatalities. #Effective and simple statements, to shape a safe #future for you and your loved ones on the road. What do you think about this initiative? VITRONIC Machine Vision Middle East

With a recent notification Ministry of Road Transport & Highways - India amended the #NationalHighway rules to include provisions on Global Navigation Satellite System #GNSS based electronic toll collection in India. This is a significant step towards setting up infrastructure for distance-based road pricing with a major implication on governing road transport in India. In March this year, Aravind Harikumar and Amit Bhatt wrote an #OpEd for the Hindustan Times supporting the argument that how GNSS (famously known as #GPS technology) can be significant in implementing policy strategies that support improvements in #AirQuality and #equitable passenger car #taxation in India. World Germany was one of the first countries to implement GNSS-based tolling. The "Toll Collect" system for trucks on the autobahn network began on January 1, 2005, using GPS and mobile communication technologies to charge vehicles based on distance traveled. India In India, electronic toll collection started with RFID technology through the FASTag system, launched in 2014. While satellite-based toll collection is being developed and piloted, it has not yet been widely implemented. For current details, refer to recent updates from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Benefits of Satellite-Based Toll Collection for Research and Data Analysis Traffic Analysis:- Provides precise traffic data. Identifies congestion patterns. Economic Impact:- Assesses revenue trends. Evaluates costs and benefits. Environmental Research:- Estimates emissions. Supports eco-friendly strategies. Urban Planning:- Guides infrastructure development. Improves urban mobility. Policy and Regulation:- Analyses toll policy effectiveness. Identifies enforcement needs. #SatelliteTollCollection #TrafficData #TransportationAnalysis #EconomicImpact #EnvironmentalResearch #UrbanPlanning #TollPolicy #TechnologicalAdvancements #SustainableTransport #InnovativeTech #InfrastructureDevelopment #SmartMobility #EcoFriendlyTransport #RoadSafety #CongestionManagement

🌍 Will the Toll Plazas Go Away After GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System)-Based Tolling Systems? 🚀 Many of you have asked in DM's: Will toll plazas disappear immediately with the advent of GPS-based tolling? 🤔 The answer is: not just yet, but eventually, YES! 📉✅ Please understand that implementing GNSS-based tolling requires a lot of integration work and retrofitting. It may be some time in the future that you get to witness the full capabilities of GNSS and ITS-based systems. In a groundbreaking move towards more efficient and transparent toll collection, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken a significant step by inviting bids to implement GNSS-based electronic toll collection. This cutting-edge system will roll out in phases over the next two years, ushering in a new era of seamless travel on Indian highways. 🌐🏞️ For now, toll plazas aren't going away completely. Instead, they may keep serving as ground validation points and continue to operate in areas where GNSS signals might be unreliable, like hilly and remote regions. 🌄🏞️ Stay tuned as we witness this revolutionary transition unfold! 📡🌐 #Transportation #Tolling #GNSS #Innovation #IndiaInfrastructure #SustainableTravel #SmartMobility #DigitalIndia #FutureOfTransportation #TechInMotion #IntelligentTransport #RoadSafety #UrbanMobility #TransportRevolution #TravelTech #GreenTravel
