Excited to share the innovative research on precision jumping limits from flight-phase control in the Salto-1P robot, authored by Justin K. Yim and Ronald S. Fearing. This study introduces a deadbeat foot placement hopping controller for the untethered monopedal robot, Salto-1P. Utilizing a third-order Taylor series approximation to an offline dynamic model, this controller has shown remarkable performance on the physical platform.
