Every morning, there’s a moment of stillness, just before dawn, when the world hasn’t yet woken up. For a brief second, it’s peaceful. But then, the day starts. It’s like clockwork—your phone buzzes with news notifications: another layoff, another company struggling to stay afloat, another reminder that stability is an illusion. You try to shake it off, but the noise is everywhere—on TV, in your email, on social media. The headlines are heavy, but what’s even heavier is that your job, the one you once loved, now feels like a weight on your chest. The slow dread creeps in as you prepare for another day, knowing deep down that something’s wrong. You're in the same position, with the same title, and it all feels so hollow. You look around and wonder if everyone else feels this way—tired, disconnected, just surviving. You want to shout, “Is this it? Is this all there is?” But the world doesn’t have time for that. It’s moving too fast, and you’re barely holding on. If you’ve felt this too, you’re not alone. Misalignment isn’t just a personal battle; it’s a quiet collapse, happening across the world, silently eating away at our joy. But it doesn’t have to be this way. It doesn’t have to be your story. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. Start with the free chapter of Misalignment Mayhem and discover how to realign your work with your life. >>https://lnkd.in/eAQ8T-dM<<

The Unknown Beckons: A Call to Adventure Step into the abyss. Plunge into the uncharted depths of your soul. Feel the exhilaration of the undiscovered, of roads untraveled, of potential unleashed. Within you lies a spark - the spark of innovation, of creativity, of power. Nurture it. Stoke the embers. Let it grow into a blazing fire that illuminates your path towards a life less ordinary. You've toiled long in the shadows, confined within the prison of familiarity. But the world whispers, beckoning you forth. It speaks of limitless possibilities, of freedom, of growth. Yet, fear keeps you bound, shackled to the ground. Fear of change, of failure, of the unknown. But remember this - it's within these dark corners that treasures are hidden. Break free. Shatter the chains that hold you down. Leap into the void with reckless abandon. For it's in this void that the seeds of greatness are sown. Quitting your career, venturing into the digital wilderness with naught but your intuition as a compass, is but a testament to your indomitable spirit. It's a daring move that most wouldn't dream of, yet you embraced it with open arms. The thrill of building something from the ground up, the joy of carving your own destiny - these are experiences reserved for the daring few. Those who dare to dream, dare to believe, dare to defy the status quo. Those who, like you, understand the importance of taking risks. So go forth, fearless adventurer. Blaze new trails. Create. Innovate. Inspire. Let your journey be a beacon of hope for those still lost in the fog of uncertainty. Let it serve as a reminder that there's no shame in abandoning the familiar in pursuit of the extraordinary. That sometimes, the biggest risks lead to the greatest rewards. Leave behind the safety of the known. Embrace the limitless potential of the unknown. Because, as they say, "The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek." The journey may be fraught with trials and tribulations, but trust in your resilience. For every fall is merely a lesson, every setback an opportunity for growth. Remember, the world needs dreamers. It needs disruptors, visionaries, pioneers. Those who aren't afraid to question, challenge, innovate. The world needs YOU. Your voice, your vision, your passion. It needs you to take that leap of faith. To believe in yourself, even when others don't. So take up the mantle. Light the torch. Be the beacon in the darkness. For it's your time to shine. To show the world what you're truly capable of. To leave an indelible mark on the sands of time. And remember - the biggest decision of your life isn't just a choice. It's a statement. A declaration to the universe that you're ready to embrace your true calling. So don't hesitate. Don't second-guess. Trust in yourself. Trust in your vision. And let the adventure begin. Leave your mark. Make your voice heard. For the world awaits your masterpiece. Are you ready?

The biggest decision of my life... Was quitting my multi-decade career with no backup plan. Seemed insane to people on the outside, but it felt right to me. I knew if I never got to build an online business before having kids, I'd never know what it was like Turned out I was better being an employer than an employee. Risks are easier to stomach when you practice the thing first after hours. Then the chance of failure is lower. And if the worst case happens, you can always get another job. The number of people wanting to be employees is decreasing anyway. Build something after hours. Let it slowly take over your career. <<<>>> Am I missing anything? Add it in the comments. 👇

Should I Stay or Should I Go? Navigating Job Stagnation and Opportunity After nearly a decade at my job, I find myself at a crossroads. While I enjoy the work and the area I operate in, I’ve hit a plateau in terms of career progression. Despite my effort, growth, and loyalty, the opportunity to move up the chain hasn't materialized. One glaring reason? My younger age—being in my late twenties has somehow led to the perception that I’m still “new” to the company, even though I've put in nearly ten years of hard work. Recently, a job offer surfaced that promises a significant salary boost—almost $20,000 more annually. But there's a catch. Accepting this position would mean starting fresh, essentially resetting my tenure and entering the unknown. While I can acknowledge the exciting financial upside, my mind keeps circling back to the familiarity of my current job. After all, this role is only my second legitimate job, and I’ve poured so much effort into getting where I am now. The potential shift is weighing on me, and part of me wonders if I’m being too dramatic about the situation. Yet, it’s hard to shake off these lingering questions: Will I enjoy the new job? Will I regret leaving the stability I’ve built over the past decade? Although I’ve done my due diligence, asked the necessary questions, and haven’t noticed any red flags, I can’t help but feel torn. This inner conflict is more common than you might think. Whether you’ve been at a job for a few years or a decade, there are several reasons why it can be difficult to take the leap, even when better opportunities come knocking. Hello to all my new connections 🖐🏿 I'm Crystal, and I help West End performers thrive on and off stage so they can get back to loving what they do. Many performers unknowingly view their career as a one-time event. "If I can just book this one role, I will feel like I've made it." They burn themselves out to book this role, only to find that they have fallen out of love with their art form and don't know how to rediscover their passion. This is because your career is a process, not an event. It evolves just like you do, which means you have to constantly re-evaluate what is most important to you. So if you are fed up with feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, or you've had enough of forcing a smile and pretending that everything is fine, or you'd like to start building a healthier, more sustainable career, then we should talk. DM me. Let's get you back to loving what you do💙

Getting home after six months of leave and the adventure of a lifetime, I knew I was due for some deep thoughts about my business and how I use my time. At first, I felt stuck and uninspired. KPIs, market research, quarterly planning? Get me out of here! Then I switched gears and started thinking about how I want to *feel* in my business; what kind of people I most enjoy working with; what kind of problems I most enjoy solving; what kind of life I want my business to support. Working backwards from there, it was a joyful and (sort of) easy process to fill in the gaps with all that "boring" stuff - because it was in service of a more meaningful purpose. I'm curious about how you approach career planning, what works best for you, and where you're feeling stuck!

6 years ago I quit my 9-5 job. I DIDN’T because of, - a big car - bank balance - luxurious life I DID because, - work on my terms - see deserving ones win - get time for my family & friends Shared my plan with Joshua my main man. Took cup after cup of coffee. We ended up founding Teknologics in a coffee house. 2 started in a small room. Today we’re 17 and still growing. And my weapon of choice? Do less! Prioritizing what truly matters. Less is more when it comes to impact. By focusing our energy, we make - every move count - deliver unparalleled results - and growth to our clients Also, inspired the team by example. As, together we focus on what really counts, And will achieve success for our clients. Emphasize what you really want to do. P.S: Are you focused on what’s important for you?

Why I Left the 9-to-5 Grind to Help Others Do the Same A few years ago, I was where many mid-level professionals find themselves: stuck in a comfortable yet unfulfilling cycle. I had a decent job, a steady pay check, and a clear career path. But deep down, I knew something was missing. The turning point came when I realized I was trading time for money with no control over my schedule or freedom to pursue my passions. And you all know how toxic environment is in the corporate world. The thought of spending the next 20+ years like this terrified me. So, I made a bold decision. I took the skills I’d honed in corporate life—leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking—and built a consulting business on the side. It wasn’t easy, but in 90 days, I turned my expertise into a thriving side hustle. Eventually, that side hustle became my full-time career, giving me the financial freedom and flexibility I’d always dreamed of. Today, I’m passionate about helping mid-level professionals do the same. You have the skills; you just need the roadmap to turn them into income streams. What’s stopping you from taking control of your career? Drop your thoughts below—I’d love to hear your story!

So, you’ve decided to supercharge your team with Zing Performance. Great! But beware—success has its own set of challenges. Here are the top three ‘negative’ side effects we’ve seen from companies who’ve taken the leap: 💡 Too Much Efficiency: Your team will be so efficient that you’ll need to find more projects just to keep them busy. Be prepared to constantly innovate and expand your business horizons. 💰 Increased Profits: With better decision-making and enhanced creativity, your revenues will soar. This means you might have to deal with the ‘problem’ of where to reinvest all that extra profit. New office space? Upgraded company cars? The choices are endless. 🔄 Higher Retention Rates: Employees will be so happy and engaged that they’ll never want to leave. Say goodbye to the ‘fun’ of recruiting and onboarding new hires. Instead, you’ll need to focus on developing long-term career growth plans. Yes, these are the kinds of problems we like to create. Ready to face these challenges head-on? 🔗 Visit ZingPerformance.com to learn how we can turn these ‘issues’ into your new reality.

It is amazing to watch adult children fly... and this son of ours is flying high! I use the phrase, "Grab the popcorn" when good stuff is happening in their lives. And good stuff is happening with John Linford! 🎉 I love being John's mom, and! it is a blast to be peers with him in the business world learning with and from him. This man is going places and so is Deckability! Grab the popcorn! 🍿 and if you are in the business of needing what they do: --> deep-dive analysis --> strategic alignment --> brand articulation --> laser-focused messaging (decks & more) grab your spot in line before the wait list gets too long (and their prices go up)!
I build decks (sales & pitches, not patios) | brand articulation 👉 beautiful presentations 👉 $$ | professional magician (no, really) | co-founder @ Deckability
I quit my job last week. Major season of change for me right now. The first stage is expressing gratitude. My time at Scan123 was amazing. Phenomenal team and culture. Heartening investments into me and my growth. All the while solving interesting problems alongside good humans. Big thanks to Jed McCarthy, Kelly Straine, Jeff Demain, Scott Heffield, Brent Gross and everyone else on the team for being such great leaders. I hope to pay that kind of support and acumen forward as I move into my next venture(s). Speaking of… I’m now full-time, all-in on Deckability. We are a brand articulation firm. We specialize in building decks. We create branding that sells. And I’m hyped outta my mind. We’re building something special, something that’s been validated in the market, solving the pain of unarticulated value propositions, to customers or investors. And we are open for business. (and quickly building a waiting list, so hmu if you’re wanting to get in sooner and before we raise our prices) P.S. the timing worked out perfectly to have our first company retreat this weekend! Great to spend the time with Cole Sweeton and James Dawson 😁
