Things you need to know about eVisa An eVisa is a digital record of your immigration status and conditions for entering or staying in the UK. To access your eVisa, you'll need to create a UKVI account https://lnkd.in/eNP8vGPp Remember: Updating to an eVisa doesn’t change your immigration status. You’ll eventually use an eVisa to travel to the UK without needing a physical document, but until the end of 2024, carry your physical documents. How to get an eVisa and a UKVI account? With a biometric residence permit: Follow instructions sent to you to create a UKVI account before your BRP expires on 31 December 2024. With other physical documents: Apply for a 'no time limit' (NTL) application if you have indefinite leave to enter or remain. As many of you may know, the new digital immigration system is in place, marking a shift from physical BRPs to eVisas. While most visa holders have made the transition without issues, many challenges remain within the system—glitches, errors, and technical complications that can impact applicants. Unfortunately, some individuals may not even realize they need to take action until they encounter difficulties. We urge everyone involved in the immigration process to spread this information widely—don’t let anyone get left behind. The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) taught us how easily people can be overlooked, and this shift could create similar challenges. Even today, over three years post-deadline, we’re still submitting late EUSS applications. The eVisa process, particularly for those without prior BRP cards, may prove even more challenging. Please help us ensure no one is left out—share this article with those who may need support. https://lnkd.in/efrwcbYk #eVisas #UKVI #UKImmigration
