Telling a recruiter you are open to all industries is like telling your husband or wife you don't care where you go for dinner. When you tell them what a good lane for you is, they can help you find it. There are products and services that all of us enjoy being a part of that customers buy. You may be an admin person or data manager or customer service or safety supervisor on high rise building projects. People today want to feel connected to and a valuable part of what makes a business work. When you tell a recruiter what kind of business you enjoy working in and why, they know that's where you have a better chance of doing well in an interview and getting the offer. Maybe you have been a teacher for 10 years and you are burned out on the classroom but you enjoy interacting with people.
