Some key points for those who are considering AI governance and how to ensure "Responsible AI" is being practiced. Thank you GSMA for hosting this important discussion at MWC 24. Join TIAC - Telecom Intelligent Automation Council to get involved in such topics and more
We've entered an era where AI's role in telecommunications cannot be overstated. Dr Khalid Basit, COO of TIAC, recently illuminated this future at a GSMA session at #MWC24 sharing his insights and the challenges he sees for 2024 and beyond. In a world teeming with technological advancements, the question isn't if #AI will revolutionize the #telco industry, but how swiftly we can adapt and lead this transformation. This session, aptly titled "Is 2024 the Year of the AI-Centric Telcos?" not only posed this pivotal question but also provided a roadmap for the future. This montage video captures the essence of Dr. Basit's vision, highlighting key moments and takeaways from his speech. Whether you’re a professional in the telecom sector, an AI enthusiast, or simply curious about the future of technology, join us today at #TIAC to learn more. https://tiac.ai/jointiac/

Love the approach of Steve Jones at Capgemini to use GenAI to improve network connections across the internet for consumers. Appreciate the reference to underling crossPORT technologies in his IEEE Xplore paper which explores "Using Generative AI to drive person centric networking". Intelliconnex is all about making connectivity easier - without the cost of GenAI for connecting systems / devices in peoples immediate area. Exciting to explore how #GenAI can be applied to an Intelliconnex ethernet and wireless bridging device to deliver simplified secure connections.
So I've written up a summary of the paper I presented last week at the IEEE Conference on AI, the topic was how GenAI and IPv6 could revolutionize personal connectivity, and in so doing fundamentally shift the dynamics within the Telco industry. What is clear about GenAI is that it is opening up, already, new possibilities and approaches that historically have been far to complex for consumer adoption, and that Telco will not be the only industry that is significantly disrupted. #GenAI #LLM #Telco #IPv6

It was great joining CNBC anchors Sri Jegarajah and Martin Soong in the studio in Singapore today to chat AI, EVs and robotaxis. We discussed the #genAI competitive landscape, OpenAI’s valuation and network effects, China’s robotaxi leaders and their need for Western market access, and how electricity will be a key limiting factor in the quest for sovereign AI. Should be a video clip online sometime in the next day.
