There are many reasons why we should be replacing the use of plywood for upfitting of vans, but it seems that the industry has got a bit 'stuck-in-a-rut'... At LEGEND we've asked that question: why would you install all that wood in the back of your van anyway? - it's very heavy for a start... why not opt for a sustainable composite floor, lightweight and far more durable? We have a useful 'plywood vs. composite' comparison article on our website which you can check out by clicking on the link below. #drivechange #thinksustainable #legendsoftheroad 😉 https://lnkd.in/dQkKDdRT

A favorite publication of ours, and for good reason! An excellent article about PVC (vinyl) in the built environment. We highly recommend reading this if you have ever considered using this material and do not know the health and environmental risk that comes along with it. "Indeed, the building and construction industry is the second-largest consumer of plastics in the world, none of which have an unblemished track record of manufacturing, most of which don’t have an easy path to circularity, and the majority of which still rely on a resource that is warming our atmosphere to dangerous levels as it is being used up." In the ever-evolving construction industry, efficiency and sustainability are key drivers of innovation. One such groundbreaking tool making waves is the Cavity Tray Cleaner. This innovative device is not only enhancing the efficiency of construction projects but also contributing to more sustainable building practices. Efficiency at Its Best ⏱️🔧 The Cavity Tray Cleaner is designed to simplify and expedite the cleaning process of cavity trays, which are essential for preventing moisture infiltration in walls. Traditionally, cleaning these trays was a labor-intensive and time-consuming task, often requiring the removal of multiple bricks and the use of makeshift tools. The Cavity Tray Cleaner, however, changes the game with its unique design and functionality. Time-Saving: The tool can be inserted and removed in seconds, significantly reducing the time spent on cleaning. This allows builders to focus on other critical aspects of their projects. Ease of Use: Its scorpion-like tail prevents debris from tracking back into the tray, ensuring a thorough clean without the risk of recontamination. Minimal Disruption: Only two bricks or one block need to be removed, minimizing disruption to the wall structure and maintaining a high-quality finish. Driving Sustainability 🌱♻️ Beyond efficiency, the Cavity Tray Cleaner is also a champion of sustainability. Manufactured in the UK from recycled plastic, it aligns with the industry’s growing emphasis on environmentally friendly practices. Eco-Friendly Materials: By using recycled plastic, the tool supports the circular economy and reduces waste. Preventive Maintenance: Regular use of the Cavity Tray Cleaner helps identify potential issues early, preventing blockages and reducing the risk of water ingress, which can lead to structural damage. A Game-Changer for Builders 🛠️🏆 The Cavity Tray Cleaner is not just a tool; it’s a testament to how innovation can drive the construction industry forward. By eliminating outdated and inefficient cleaning methods, it allows builders to maintain higher standards of workmanship and project efficiency. In conclusion, the Cavity Tray Cleaner is proving to be an indispensable asset in modern construction. Its ability to streamline the cleaning process, coupled with its sustainable design, makes it a vital tool for builders aiming to enhance their productivity and environmental responsibility. As the construction industry continues to evolve, tools like the Cavity Tray Cleaner will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping its future. We have reached a significant conclusion after two years of extensive research and development focused on construction materials, furnishings, and flooring. For decades, wood has been the primary material used in construction, leading to a depletion of forests due to the manufacturing of 15 plywood boards from a single tree. This environmental concern has prompted us to find a solution. Additionally, the staggering global volume of plastic waste generated annually could cover the entire Earth with a single layer. To address both of these issues, we have developed a new material called WOODFREE PLY (WEP) made from LDPE (Low-Density Polythene). WEP is a durable, sustainable, strong, and lightweight alternative to traditional wood plyboard, which is heavily consumed on construction sites & Highly Corrosive Areas.
