This is marketing at it's finest. For any business with a location, the first step is to get people through the door. Once they are in, you can engage with them and get them into your ecosystem. This post gives people a reason to head over to New London and visit this bank, just to see the spectacle. Once they're in, maybe they'll have a conversation with one of the "Kyles." Maybe they'll discover a banking service they need. People tune out most advertising messages. Talk to them about interest rates and banking products, and they're gone before they read the headline. Tell them there's a funny costume to see, and they might check it out. And the same people who want to see funny costumes may also need banking services. No matter what your business is, the goal of marketing is to get the people into the conversations. As long as you're not being deceptive, any enticement is good if it creates engagement. "Get on a call with me and I'll tell you my 5 best Dad Jokes." "Free concert on the green." "Check out our costumes." In 2024, any business that insists that their employees not do anything for Halloween is missing a tremendous opportunity. A good business will allow costumes. A great business will advertise it.

After 17 years of almost faithful marriage to #GTBank, I finally decided to get a second wife. Indeed, I had a few minor flings 😌. With #Kuda, I couldn't get past the verification stage for some unknown reason. And #Mintyn left me stranded at some of the worst possible times - always weekends - such that I had to wait for Monday to sort out issues 😡. Anyway, the flings were shortlived and I went back to madam #GTB. Unfortunately, 2024 has been a terrible year with madam 😢. Beginning from January when I found myself unable to make daily transactions beyond N50k for about 4 weeks after changing phones, to the poorly implemented mobile app upgrade, and now to this banking platform upgrade that messed up many of us badly. So of course, I had no choice. I had to get a new beautiful young wife after thoroughly researching her family history. And the best part of it, my account number is the same as my mobile number - you no longer have an excuse not to dash me money! Disruption in business is real. And as with marriage, so also it is with business; you can only get away with messing up for so long. Asset base, profitability, and what have you can only take one so far. If you consistently perform badly, you will lose your hubby, or wifey, to the hungry GenZs out there. This message was reinforced in our [Tetramanor Ltd.] recent brand audit survey: Customers indicated that the most important factor in buying from us was customer service. Mind you, not price, or quality of buildings, but simply how they were treated! It was indeed a clarion call for us to do better.
