I had a great time attending the Hip Hop Beyond 50: Protecting and Promoting Culture virtual event hosted by the U.S. Copyright Office. As an aspiring intellectual property attorney, I was able to learn from copyright experts and practitioners about how hip-hop has influenced creators worldwide and about the Office resources available on sampling, interpolations, and beat stores. Thank you to all the guest speakers for an immensely informative presentation to celebrate the 50th year of hip-hop.
