🎁 Spreading Holiday Cheer! 🎄
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Toy and Gift Appeal this year!
With your generosity, we collected approximately 500 gifts, which will make a meaningful difference for families in need this festive season. 💝
Here’s how the gifts will be shared:
✨ Mission Christmas Appeal received the majority of the brand-new toys and gifts.
✨ Wythenshawe Charity was supported with a combination of pre-loved and new items.
✨ Alder Hey Children’s Cancer Charity will receive the wonderful gifts donated by our Chester office.
This incredible response is a testament to the kindness and community spirit across our offices. 💫
Together, we’re helping to make this season a little brighter for so many families.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible! 💕
Family ALWAYS comes first. And did you know that by giving certain assets to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Foundation, you can preserve more of your estate for your loved ones?
Many of our donors wish they could do more to help improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer care, and they also want to preserve their family's future. That’s understandable!
The good news? Some assets are highly taxed when passed to loved ones but offer advantages when directed to charity.
Learn which assets benefit your family most and how charitable giving can help protect your hard-earned wealth.

There are many ways in which you can help to support CancerCare, one of these is by giving a gift in your Will. This week is Remember A Charity week, a campaign that encourages everyone to take a moment to consider adding a gift to charity in their Will.
Gifts in Wills are vital to the work of CancerCare, funding the support we provide to 1 in every 4 people who turn to us for help when dealing with the life-changing impact of cancer, serious illness or bereavement.
Of course, we understand that when making a Will, the needs of your family and loved ones will always come first. However, once you’ve looked after those closest to you, including a gift to CancerCare in your Will can help many more people, ensuring future generations across North Lancashire and South Cumbria can turn to us for support.

Absolutely thrilled to share that I finally did it! I donated blood today and in just one hour, potentially saved three lives. This achievement means a lot to me, especially after four attempts and a year of trying.
Donating blood is one of the most
selfless acts we can perform. It's a simple yet profound way to make a
difference in someone's life. The entire process takes only about an hour, with
the actual donation lasting just 5-10 minutes. Plus, it has personal health
benefits like:
Health Check-Up
Heart Health
Cancer Risk Reduction:
Weight Management:
Psychological Well-Being
A week after donating, you'll receive an email with your test results and details about how your blood was used, whether it helped a child or an adult.
I'm incredibly proud to be a part
of this life-saving journey and encourage everyone to consider donating. It's a
small effort with an immense impact!
Before making an appointment, please remember to check if you are eligible to donate. Please see the link below if you are interested in signing up.

April is #DonateLifeMonth. It's an important month for the CF community. When people with CF run out of treatment options, #lungtransplant is their only hope. In addition, due to comorbidities of CF and medication side effects, people with CF can end up needing other organ transplants as well, including kidney, liver, or even heart/lung.
Organ donation is the ultimate gift — the most selfless way to pay it forward and ensure that when you no longer need your organs, you can give life (and hope and a future) to someone who otherwise wouldn't get it. There is no greater impact a person can leave behind.
In honor of #DonateLife Month, if you're not signed up already, we encourage you to become an organ, eye, and tissue donor. ♻️🩵💚

This past week was a whirlwind. We (Wheel) were at #DigitalPharmaEast, promoting our work with life science organizations and learning more about the challenges they face in supporting consumers. Then came a packed weekend—my son’s sports events, my daughter dancing at a local festival, the Wayne Wildcats fundraiser full of cheer and football, and, of course, the incredible #Reagan’sRun2024. (See below and make sure to donate! 💜 )
I’d love to say I gave my best to every single thing, but let’s be honest, I simply couldn’t, I was cooked... And as I reflected on this week, on everything I heard, saw, and experienced, it hit me just how human we all are and how hard balancing life is—let alone doing so with a challenging health condition or having to care for a family member or friend.
This brings me back to a realization that we get caught up in our business goals, focused on metrics, KPIs, and product innovation. But the truth is, the people we’re trying to help are just like us.
They’re not just patients or data points. They’re individuals, living full, complex lives, trying to juggle their own sets of challenges.
Yet, too often, we develop solutions from the organization’s perspective rather than through the lens of the person we're trying to help. We focus on solving the problem we think needs attention, designing around it, and then wonder why engagement falls short.
The reality is, we need to start by meeting people where they are, recognizing where they are in their health journey—whether they’re facing a new diagnosis, managing a chronic condition, or just trying to make it through their daily routine.
At the heart of every innovation we build is a person with a story, a challenge, and a desire for better health. When we approach our work with that in mind, we’re not just improving systems or efficiencies—we’re helping real people.
The next time we sit down to innovate, which will likely be today, let’s be sure to see it from their side of the table.

Giving Back in a Powerful Way: The Impact of Power Red Donations
Today, I wanted to share something close to my heart: the importance of being a Power Red donor. Through this special type of blood donation, I’m able to give twice the amount of red blood cells in one visit, providing an even greater impact to patients in need.
As someone who values making a difference, this is one of the ways I contribute to my community and help save lives. Donating blood isn’t just a good deed—it’s a necessity for patients facing surgeries, trauma, or chronic illnesses. Every donation counts, and the Power Red process allows me to maximize my contribution efficiently.
If you’ve ever considered donating, I encourage you to look into Power Red. It’s a small commitment that makes a huge difference. Together, we can help ensure a stable blood supply and bring hope to those who need it most.
