🌟 Reflecting on an Incredible Experience at Polylogue Madrid! 🌟 Last week, I had the absolute privilege of speaking at Polylogue Madrid, and I’m still buzzing with energy from the incredible exchange of ideas and inspiration that unfolded. The room was alive with curiosity, openness, and thoughtful questions—it was a dream setting for meaningful dialogue. I shared lessons that stem from deeply personal, first-hand experiences, diving into moments that shaped my journey. The stories I told weren’t just my own; they were reflections of the collective challenges, opportunities, and growth we all face. One of the most exciting parts of my talk was introducing a concept that I assumed many might already know about: Multipotentiality. To my surprise, this sparked a fresh wave of curiosity and recognition among the audience. It was amazing to see how this concept, which celebrates having diverse interests and talents, resonated with so many in the room. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelming and heartwarming. To know that my words left a mark and perhaps shifted perspectives is a reminder of why I love doing this. 🔔 Here’s a question for you: Have you ever felt like you didn’t fit neatly into one box—like your passions, skills, and ideas are too expansive to label? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Drop a comment below, and let’s keep the conversation going. Here’s to embracing our many dimensions and living with courage and curiosity. 🙌 #PolylogueMadrid #Multipotentiality #Growth #Inspiration #LifelongLearning

Happy New Year! During this holiday season, I had the opportunity to read De-Silo's report on the SSH research ecosystem in Japan. This enthusiastic and comprehensive report, which addresses the "taboo" of SSH research often seen as "pure intellectual practice" (a sentiment I shared during my bachelor's program), prompted me to reflect on my own work and career in Europe. Here are some key takeaways from the report that are also relevant to European SSH research: - Stay aware of social changes and challenges related to your field (e.g., Japan's ageing society and its impact on career opportunities in education). - Educate yourself about the ecosystem (including funding agencies, job opportunities inside and outside academia, researcher communities, networks, etc.). - Actively contribute to the ecosystem by engaging in alternative practices (such as contributing to research communities, promoting open access, exploring transdisciplinary fields, and enhancing science communication). - Be open-minded about new areas where you can apply your knowledge in diverse ways (such as policy, art, communication, business, etc.). - Try something new! (Engage with other researchers and people from different fields, develop skills in project management and creative techniques, etc.). You can download the full text (in Japanese) from the provided link. With these insights in mind, I am excited to see what 2025 holds! Ciao! https://lnkd.in/d5Z_Tktu

See you in 2 weeks? 👀 Next week, I’m going on my first Vipassana — a silent/no-phone retreat where your goal is to meditate for about 100 hours. Thanks to my good friends Ivan Altsybieiev and Alexander Zimin for inspo and their advice! Has anyone else been/tried something similar? Would love to catch up once when I’m back. P.S. I’m not new to going offline — it has proven to make me more focused, creative, and productive — and I have already written at length about my past experiences. The link to the full blog post is in the comments.
