Black Friday can be your best customer support opportunity. (Or your worst nightmare) During Black Friday, the stakes are high, and customer expectations are even higher. In fact, 60% of customers abandon a company after a bad service experience. And most companies underestimate the focus they need to put on their CS during this period. So, it’s the best moment to stand out. The best moment to create customer loyalty that lasts loooong after the discounts end! But first, we need to acknowledge the chaos it can bring: → Skyrocketing ticket volumes → Unprepared teams becoming overworked → Customers leaving left and right because of small mistakes Now that we know what’s going to happen, here’s how to avoid this scenario: 1️⃣ Start with Forecasting & Planning 2️⃣ Automate FAQs and 24/7 chatbots 3️⃣ Prep Your Support Playbook 4️⃣ Empower Your Agents 5️⃣ Build Clear Communication Channels We want your customers to remember how you made them feel, not just what they bought. Since it’s 5x more expensive to attract a new customer than to retain an existing one, you'd better be prepared than sorry, haha. Don’t wait until the tickets start piling up. - Thibaut 🦊 PS: Share to help as many people as possible! ♻️

Today is Black Friday. The biggest shopping day of the year and the busiest weekend for lots of CX teams. One of the biggest things CX teams can do to make things easier on their customers is to make it easy to contact them and receive support! There are lots of companies that don't do this (like some unnamed telecommunication companies *cough*), but the companies who understand the value of the customer journey offer lots of ways to contact them and to help resolve any issues that come up. Check out my new blog for an overview of how to set these contact options up! PS - while BFCM is often about the customers, please remember to be patient and supportive of anyone working in CX this weekend as it's also one of the most stressful times of the year.

Prepare Your Customer Support Team for Black Friday: Key Strategies for SaaS Companies 🚀 Black Friday is a massive opportunity for SaaS companies, but it comes with unique challenges in customer support. A seamless support experience during high-demand times can make or break your customer relationships. Here are some top strategies to help your support team thrive this Black Friday: 1️⃣ Equip Your Team with Training and Clear Roles: Prepare agents for Black Friday-specific scenarios and define clear responsibilities to keep things efficient. 2️⃣ Automate Where Possible: Use chatbots for common inquiries, automated responses, and prioritize urgent tickets, so agents can focus on complex issues. 3️⃣ Optimize Communication Channels: Ensure all channels are ready and staffed, and set clear response time expectations for customers. 4️⃣ Use Integrations: Connect your helpdesk to CRM, billing, and analytics tools, so agents have all the info they need at their fingertips. 5️⃣ Scale Support on Demand: Add temporary staff or on-call agents to handle peak times and keep response times low. 6️⃣ Prepare a Black Friday FAQ & Self-Service Options: Make sure customers can find answers on their own with a dedicated FAQ and knowledge base. Black Friday can be a high-stress day, but with the right strategies, your support team can turn it into a success! 💪 #BlackFriday #SaaS #CustomerSupport

Understanding this one bias is standing between you and the price you want to set for your product or service. Companies and marketers have used this bias for decades to help you feel like the stated price is a bargain. We’ve all seen the deals. Some of us have even fallen for it. The Anchoring Bias is the tendency to rely too heavily on the first piece of information encountered when making decisions. This initial piece of information serves as a reference point that influences subsequent judgments. We see this most obviously for example when you are presented with a “slashed” price or something with a “value of X” for “x lower amount”. Whether it’s a Black Friday or other holiday special, “Was 299$, now 199$” looks good to most people; especially at first glance. But this shouldn’t be discouraging. The fact of the matter is that businesses have a responsibility (whether to their shareholders or for their own survival) to do everything possible to avoid complete loss. They MUST at the very LEAST break EVEN to live another day. The good news is that armed with this knowledge you can now ask deeper questions about the price cut and perhaps sink the price even further! For service providers, you should very clearly be prepared to explain the value of your price to clients. For example: - Time saved - Problem solved - Stress removed - Customer satisfaction - Customer retention For more information on biases and how to build resilient teams and businesses, explore my page or book a call.
