Amazing speech, and I agree on first point that KPIs could add a hustle to the entire workflow processes and personal I would relapce it with high level strategic goals (OKRs) to dive the whole processes. Also, on the second point that it becomes a trends each divisions want to craft their own landscape in term of enhancing processes with existing technologies, without seen the holistic process areas on the organizational-level. Thanks Sulaiman Abdulla MCIPS Chartered on spotting a light on those ideas.

Business leaders continuing their education can be highly beneficial, but the specifics depend on individual circumstances. Benefits of ongoing education: Keeps leaders up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Enhances strategic thinking and decision-making skills Provides networking opportunities Fosters innovation and adaptability Types of courses: Executive education programs at business schools Industry-specific conferences and workshops Online courses and certifications Leadership and management training Frequency: While annual courses can be valuable, the ideal frequency depends on: The leader's experience level Industry pace of change Company size and growth stage Personal development goals Investment: The appropriate amount to spend on education varies widely based on: Company size and revenue Industry Individual learning needs Available budget As a general guideline, many experts suggest allocating 1-5% of a leader's salary for professional development. For small business owners, this might translate to $1,000-$5,000 annually, while executives at larger corporations might invest $10,000-$50,000 or more. Return on investment: Will the knowledge gained directly benefit the business? For business leaders, your learning doesn’t have to stop after university. Being the CEO of add, I know that it can be difficult to make time to engage with learning properly. But there are numerous resources and opportunities for you to follow a journey of lifelong learning. That’s what the Learn Event on the 6th of 7th of October at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh can give you more insights about. So how do you learn as a busy leader outside the classroom? Engage with online certifications and courses. That’s a phenomenal way you can learn even when you’re in between meetings or are resting but want to stay focused on something. You can learn about anything—from Mergers & Acquisitions to Corporate Finance and even to data analysis techniques. You can also consider executive education programs, like I recently did with London Business School and Imperial College London. Their organized workshops and sessions really help you become a more effective and productive leader. And that’s of very high value. So make time to learn. It’s a lifelong commitment.
