Do you want to: ✅ get closer to your clients ✅ get external validation of the quality of your work ✅ share evidence that you stand out from the crowd ✅ reward your team’s hard work ✅ bring your team together to celebrate your achievements? When I was leading my consultancy, we won 31 awards in 7 years. This level of recognition meant that clients no longer needed convincing of our credentials. They became confident that our approach was the right one, and the conversation turned far more to the nature of the solution and whether they could afford to do it ‘the right way’. Delivering award winning programmes also did wonders for our ability to attract high performers and motivate our team. There are 4 weeks left until the early-bird deadline for The Consultancy Awards. Enter before 11 December and you will get £100 off your entry (minimum price £399). You can explore the categories and entry forms here: https://lnkd.in/edbtuGR5. 🌟 Kicking off the week with some key takeaways from my trip to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland ✈️💡 ✅ 1. We made the right call not to make MCG Consulting too London-centric. There’s so much talent and opportunity across the UK and Ireland that can benefit from our programmes. 🌍 ✅ 2. What we’re offering has real value. Each organisation has its own story, and they’re eager to find better ways to support their people.🤝 ✅ 3. This is just the beginning! Our mission is to connect with all the law societies across the UK and Ireland, making our CMAR programme the gold standard for employee well-being, providing year round support🏆 But we're not stopping there! We're already working in other sectors and talking to large organisations. If you have people, we can help! 🙌 ✅ 4. Our MentorAdvance Programme is generating so much interest! We believe that training both mentors and mentees is crucial. Preparation for both parties maximises the impact and benefits on both sides. When mentors and mentees are equipped with the right tools, everyone thrives! 💪🤝 ✅ 5. Many organisations care about their employees but are unsure how best to support them. We can help! 💼 ✅ 6. The generational gap is a learning opportunity—bridging it will benefit everyone. 🔗 ❤️🥔 7. My love for Taytos remains irrationally strong—started in 1986 and shows no sign of stopping! If I could have smuggled more back, I would have. 👀 The experience and response from this trip have been so exciting. 🚀 We’ve got incredible times ahead as we continue to expand our network, grow our team, and spread the word about our services far and wide. 🌟 If your organisation is looking for ways to support your people, let's connect! 👉 Follow our company MCG Consulting Ltd for more updates, and feel free to get in touch to discuss how we can help your organisation thrive! Here’s to an amazing week ahead! 🎉 #CMAR #MentorAdvance #EmployeeWellbeing #Leadership #MentorshipMatters #MCGConsulting

The impact of business awards The fear of failure and the perceived effort required contribute to avoiding entering awards, yet when we do, the experience is win-win regardless. So, why don’t we enter awards more freely? 📚Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eeXwm-xq Association of Business Mentors (ABM) Kerrie Dorman Mentoring for Business and in the Workplace. #businessawards #awards #businessgrowth

#AwardsAdvice: The Q1 2025 awards season has notched up a gear, so now's the time to beware of the “Oh sh*t 💩 moment” (IYKYK)? And if you find yourself in it, DO NOT ENTER. You’ve left things too late and you’ll almost certainly waste a lot of time and money on something that won’t even make the shortlist. Instead, take some time now to plan things now and not only will you avoid a stressful mad rush in Q1, but you can save money via early bird deadlines: ⛔︎ Why do you want to enter awards and what are your business objectives? No point entering awards that don’t support that. 📖 What are your best stories over the past 18 months that are equally creative/innovative AND effective? No point entering if judges think “So what? Everyone does that and where's the proof that it worked?”. 🏆 Which awards loop into your business objectives AND your best stories. If you’re from an agency, don’t forget to look at your clients’ industry awards, so you fish where the fish are. 👍🏽 Which categories are right AND most winnable? Don’t forget to look at shortlists from past years - and avoid oversubscribed categories. 🚪 When do the awards open for entry? Five yourself as much time as possible to avoid the “Oh sh*t 💩 moment”) Still feeling lost and have questions about planning for success, writing entries, best practice coaching for your own people, or anything else? Get in touch and I’ll do my best to demystify things. #AwardsStrategy #AwardsConsultancy #AwardsPlanning

✨ Spotlight on entrant benchmarking: elevating awards programs through transparency & feedback ✨ For anyone who’s ever poured their energy into crafting an awards entry, you know the effort it takes to create that final submission. So, what keeps entrants coming back, year after year? It’s all about trust in the awards program’s validity and integrity. Building trust means being open and transparent from the start: sharing judging criteria, welcoming feedback, and even considering external assessments. And a key part of this trust-building? Benchmarking. Benchmarking offers invaluable insights by showcasing what set the winners apart—helping entrants learn, grow, and compare their strengths, strategies, and outcomes. When entrants feel they’re part of a program that cares about their progress, they’re more inclined to improve and try again. This sense of connection fosters brand loyalty and a shared commitment to excellence. Ultimately, benchmarking isn’t just about improving entries; it’s about empowering participants to thrive. So, let’s keep raising the bar, together! 🏆 ✨ #Evessio #EntrantBenchmarking #AwardsPrograms #FeedbackLoop #ContinuousImprovement

Today marks an important milestone for me as I started my BCorp journey with Sussex Impact Pathway. As promised by the lovely Ella Turner Demi Heath is absolutely brilliant, and the energy in our cohort is inspiring. I’m confident we’ll support each other every step of the way, and in no more than 12 months, People Finding Consultancy WILL proudly hold BCorp status. I first discovered BCorp over a year ago and instantly resonated with its values—balancing people, planet and profit to create a positive impact. It felt like such an obvious goal for my business. But, like many, I found the BIA (B Impact Assessment) overwhelming and kept pushing it down the list. Today feels different. It feels like the first real step towards achieving something that aligns so deeply with who I am and what People Finding Consultancy stands for. Gaining BCorp status will be more than a certification; it’s a reflection of my commitment to good business practices and the values I share with so many purpose-driven companies. If you’re a business owner or leader, have you ever considered becoming a BCorp? What would it mean for your business to be recognised for balancing purpose and profit? I’m excited for this journey and can’t wait to work with more businesses who share these values. Let’s make recruitment—and business—better for everyone. #BCorpJourney #PurposeDrivenBusiness #RecruitmentDoneRight
