Did you attend our panel at Women Influence & Power in Law (WIPL)? Weren’t Leah Yadegar (Material), Aparna Dasai Williams (Coalfire), Kim Metrick (Walgreens Boots Alliance), and our own Catherine Kemnitz a wealth of insight? We certainly thought so, and while it was hard to narrow down, here are four pearls of wisdom from these powerful and influential women that we can carry with us into 2025: 1. “Partnering with your CFO is vital, so practice executive communication at every level. Show where the money is going, why this [change] is valuable.” -Aparna 2. “It’s essential to know who you’re talking to (i.e., internal stakeholder, client, vendor, etc.) and identify key people who regulate and operate when making changes.” - Leah 3. “Remember: If we don’t use a lower cost firm, the attorney needs to explain why (i.e., specialized expertise or geography).” - Kim 4. "Educate the legal team to learn about the other functions to be a better partner to the business.” – Catherine What was your biggest takeaway from the panel?
