This may seem a bit random; please indulge me. In the 1950s, John Crosby created The Santa Fe Opera, one of the world's great companies and venues. At about the same time, Ernie Blake was building Taos Ski Valley, Inc., one of the best ski areas in the world. In the following decade, Ben Abruzzo imagined Sandia Peak Tramway, with the world's longest unsupported span of cable. In the 1970s, Abruzzo started what became the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the leading event of its kind in the world. New Mexico is truly The Land of Enchantment, a land of inspiration, and a land of innovation. The bar is set high. Check it out:
