We are approaching almost 12,000 Armed Forces Covenant signings! ✍️ Why should you organisation also pledge support to the Armed Forces community? The Covenant is a national responsibility involving government, businesses, local authorities, charities and the public. Since 2011, organisations have been making their pledge to support members of the Armed Forces community who work in their business or access their products and services. The level of support depends on the size and nature of the organisation, but typically includes policies that: encourage reserve service; support employment of veterans and service spouses/partners; and give the Armed Forces community a fair deal on commercial products and services. Should our heroes feel alone? Suicide is the primary cause of death among active duty Service Members. Let me repeat that... SUICIDE is the primary cause of death among active duty Service Members. This. Should. Not. Happen. Our heroes should never feel alone. Since 2003, Soldiers' Angels has sent over 1,038,900 care packages to deployed Service Members. That's 1,038,900 morale-boosting pieces of mail that ensure they know America stands with them. America remembers them. But we need more. Right now, nearly 300 deployed Service Members are currently waiting to be supported by Soldiers' Angels. They feel alone and isolated—they need support. But without more funding, we cannot support them. We can already start counting the thermal imagers we're providing to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The requests for them just keep coming. Most times we wait for bigger stage to serve It has become important to teach our young ones the importance of service as we did last week Service can take many forms, including: 👉 Customer Service: Supporting customers with products or services. 👉 Community Service: Volunteering to benefit local communities. 👉 Public Service: Working in government or non-profit organizations. 👉 Military Service: Serving in the armed forces. 👉 Selfless Service: Putting others' needs before one's own. Reintegrating into society after military service can be the biggest challenge a Veteran ever faces. CBAW builds bridges between Veterans like Michael and the communities they continue to serve.
