Selling 1000 cases/year is hard but it’s more doable if you break it down👇🏻 : - 80 cases/month - 500 bottles/month - 15 bottles/day - 200 cocktails/day - 4 cocktails/day in 50 bars It’s not easy. But it's easier than dreaming about 1000 cases and no plan. Hunt those 50 bars.

- What does it take to blend a whisky that'll never collect dust on the back bar? Backed by years of experience in designing whiskies, I finished blending a new whisky today - specifically for a new on-trade brand. Yum! This specific whisky was blended to work well in more robust whisky cocktails like a Boulevardier, a Sazerac, or an Old Fashioned. 🥃 I chose to opt for a 'high-rye profile'. Many bartenders prefer such a style of whisky as it remains well distinguishable in the final cocktail. It's clearly rye-forward but remains balanced - making it approachable yet distinctive - even though my personal taste likes even more rye. But it is not about my likes. It is about the client's market. It is about enabling the bartender, so she/he can create drinks that people reorder, buy for their friends, and talk about afterwards.
