We’re thrilled to share that Planning Congress is proudly supporting Homes for Homes as our Official 2024 Congress Charity. In lieu of speaker gifts, we will be making a donation to Homes for Homes, on behalf of our keynote speakers. A little bit about Homes for Homes 👇 Every night 122,000 people in Australia sleep homeless. While another 1.5 million live in serious housing stress. We have a housing crisis. We can’t let this go on. And at Homes for Homes, we won’t. Homes for Homes is a simple promise that when a home sells, whenever that is, 0.1% of the sale price will be donated—helping build homes for those in need. The issue is too big for any one person, business or government to solve alone. But together, we have a simple community empowered solution to a seemingly insurmountable problem. It’s a promise we all need to make, a promise to help end homelessness. And with Homes for Homes, we can. Did you know that unaffordable housing is just one factor which can escalate homelessness and housing insecurity? The vital funds raised from #CEOSleepout Oxford help support the people of Oxfordshire who are experiencing homelessness. You helped us raise a whopping £76,500 last year for #CEOSleepout Oxford but this time we want to make it bigger and better and achieve our goal total of £100,000 ⭐️ If you’re a business owner, CEO, Director, or Partner in Oxfordshire then you can sign up to help raise vital funds for those in need. Every penny you raise goes towards helping people in need. 💡 £10 could help someone attend vital appointments and help rebuild their life 💡 £30 could enable someone to be self-sufficient in their new home 💡 £50 could help someone receive emotional support and guidance to help them recover from the trauma of homelessness Whether you come on your own or as a group, you’ll be joining people who care about our local communities, all raising money via sponsorship or donation. All you need is a big heart, a sleeping bag and a willingness to fundraise or donate £1,000. Get involved through the link here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeXqBjmr

PEXA is a proud partner of Homes for Homes, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ending homelessness across Australia. After years of experiencing housing insecurity, Barb was able to find long-term stable housing thanks to a grant from Homes for Homes. Now, she has a world of opportunity at her feet – she’s feeling energised by new friendships formed with housemates, can focus on her career goals and pursue higher education without the worry of impermanent accommodation. Over the next 3 years, PEXA has promised to invest at least $245,000 in Homes for Homes as part of our ongoing partnership since 2016, so more people like Barb can experience long-term housing security. Keen to contribute to the cause? The PEXA platform makes it seamless for sellers to donate 0.1% of their property's sale proceeds to fund the creation of social and affordable housing. For example, on a sale of $750,000, that’s a fully tax-deductible $750 donation. We encourage our community of conveyancers and practitioners to speak to their clients today about registering their property for a Homes for Homes donation, to help more people like Barb. Head to homesforhomes.org.au to find out more. Matter is Riding to End Youth Homelessness On November 15th, we’re joining the Healesville Tour de PIF: Tour for Homeless Youth - a cycling challenge dedicated to raising funds to provide young Australians facing homelessness with a safe, secure home. Every night, 46,000 young people experience homelessness and half of them are turned away from accommodation services. Through the Property Industry Foundation, we have a chance to make a real difference. Every donation helps build much-needed housing and provides ongoing support for young people in need. With in-kind contributions from the property and construction industry, every $1 donated is doubled in value. Our goal is to raise $2,000, and we need your help to reach it. Let’s allow homeless youth to shape their own futures. Click here: https://lnkd.in/eynvfVwm to sponsor our team and help us make a lasting impact. Together, we can help end youth homelessness. #TourDePIF #TeamMatter #EndYouthHomelessness #SupportTheCause #DonateNow

YOU CAN HELP! For 325 days (and Counting) I've raised the alarm that youth 10 to 19 have no emergency #safe housing anywhere in Ocean or Monmouth County, NJ. CLCL Foundation has innovative solutions to address and end youth homelessness, plus supports for families, caregivers, and resource parents. As a former foster and adopted youth and teen runaway, I know how powerful interventions can be in creating better outcomes. You can help BE THE CHANGE by donating to the registered 501(c)(3), Choose love. Celebrate life. A Foundation for Youth and Families, Inc. Or joining the CLCL team to create evidence-based, trauma-informed, antiracist and inclusive programs. Only together can we have enough wisdom to do this is right way -- the better way. https://clclfoundation.org

For someone experiencing homelessness, moving into a new home is more than just a fresh start—it’s a financial challenge. Storage fees add up or furniture is being stored at a friend or family member's home, and without volunteer support, the cost of renting a moving truck can be overwhelming. And what if there’s no furniture to move? Beds, tables, chairs, a couch, dishes—all the basics of making a house a home—often need to be purchased. Local nonprofits and our team can help, but many still face these expenses on their own. This Giving Tuesday, your support can give the gift of a fresh start by helping someone cover moving costs and create a home filled with comfort and stability. Together, we can make sure no one has to face these challenges alone. Donate at https://lnkd.in/e7ecSpkr

We can't agree and we're too close to it now - so hopefully my LinkedIn connections can help. What should the new tagline of Church Homeless Charity be? Your support, their future. Pathways out of homelessness. Small grants, big impact on lives. Grants that change lives. Your compassion in action. Investing in human potential. Empowering lives, one grant at a time. Grants that open doors. A little help for a new start. Building hope with small grants. * Note that ‘Compassion in Action’ is an existing charity, so we need to be wary there. We provide small grants to homeless people through a network of registered support services. They help identify where an individual needs specific support and we can get the money to that person within days. The grants provide hope, dignity and a lifeline when it is needed most.

It’s #WorldFoodDay! 🍇🍞🍔🌮🥘 For people experiencing homelessness, a hot meal is more than just food—it's comfort, hope, and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Here’s how you can help make a real difference for our neighbors facing homelessness in Hampton Roads, not just today but all year round: 🍽️ Donate! Your financial support directly impacts lives, creating pathways for people to overcome homelessness and find a fresh start ➡️ unionmissionministries.org 🍽️ Volunteer! Help out at our shelters by serving meals. There’s no greater reward than the joy on someone’s face when they receive a warm meal, often the first they’ve had in a long time. 🍽️ Provide! Sponsor a meal for our shelter guests by donating funds or providing the meal itself. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Contact volunteer@ummnorva.org for more information on how you can provide access to food for those in need! #CaringLikeChrist

Please sign this and share if you can - it has just two days to go. 1 in 52 people aged 16-24 were experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness last year. We need a national strategy that will provide the direction and support needed to address: (1) the many forms that homelessness can take - from rough sleeping to sofa surfing to unsafe homes; (2) as well as the specific needs and challenges faced by young people - from the increased likelihood of family breakdown as a cause of homelessness to the decreased likelihood of receiving support from local authorities. We need a national strategy to end youth homelessness.
🚨 WE NEED YOUR SIGNATURES BY 21 MARCH ✏️ Last year 136,000 young people approached their council for housing support, yet there is still no strategy to #EndYouthHomelessness. That’s why, along with 120 other charities, we are in support of a Government petition to ensure the issue is debated in Parliament. If you’ve ever been inspired by our work or thought you could do more to help end youth homelessness then this is your moment. ✏️ SIGN the petition >>> https://lnkd.in/exFKGpjc ⏩ SHARE this post on your socials 📱 SEND this to friends, family and colleagues via WhatsApp and ask them to sign too. #PlanForThe136k #TogetherWeCan
