Hope doesn't let me read many books to her at bedtime like she used to. However, yesterday marked her last day as a six-year-old, and I managed to persuade her to cuddle up with me and read this book. It's always astonishing how the simple yet profound lessons from children's books still resonate with us adults. ✨ “Broken crayons still color.” ✨ “We don’t have to be perfect to be useful.” ✨ “You’re not a mess because you have messy feelings. But let’s keep big feelings from being bad actions.” I highly recommend this book for your kids, and perhaps you might even take away a lesson or two yourself.
