Up for a dance? Today at Iceland Innovation Week, I had the privilege of joining an inspiring panel to discuss the role and importance of public funding. In my experience with climate tech investments, public funding plays a crucial role - much like inviting people to a party or a dance. Have you ever been the first person to arrive at a party or reception? The room feels empty, and you hesitate to go in. But if someone you know and trust takes you by the hand and leads you into the room, suddenly it's much easier to join the festivities. Similarly, public funding leads the way in areas where private capital alone isn't yet attracted. In my opinion, climate tech investments require strong syndicates of public and private partners. 🌊 4 Weeks Since TechBBQ – Oceanark’s Inspiring Conversations 🌍 It’s been a month since Oceanark Group attended TechBBQ 2024 in Copenhagen, and we’re still reflecting on the amazing people we met and the inspiring conversations we had.
