It’s time to start saving your Acme receipts again! Donating your receipts to the library makes a substantial impact by helping us distribute books to the community. A collection box is located near the Checkout Desk, or you can drop receipts into our Book Drop. Receipts must be received by February 23, 2025. Here's how it works: The bottom of your Acme receipt lists a Community Cash Back amount. For every receipt you submit, we receive 5% of that total as a donation.

Like me, I'm sure your inbox is full of Giving Tuesday appeals, each from wonderful organizations. Overwhelmed by all the asks, the temptation may be to do nothing. Please reconsider for... ... the child receiving a diagnosis that changes not only their family for the holidays, but their lives are flipped upside down. ...the mama who spends nearly every moment in the NICU, praying her baby makes it another night. ... the teenager far away from friends, currently undergoing treatment for an eating disorder. ... the family who would be sleeping in their cold car if it weren't for the Ronald McDonald House. These aren't really hypotheticals. There are REAL people are are in these REAL situations this very second. If not for the Ronald McDonald House... ... the child with the diagnosis might not be able to have their family close. ... the mama might never get a night's sleep in a bed, let alone a shower, a place to brush her teeth, or a community to support her. ... the teenager might not only be without their friends, but also far from their family. ... the family would be sleeping in their car. Last week, my 10 year old asked me if I “liked my job” L.O.L. Truth is, I LOVE what I do. I LOVE taking time to think about how to create spaces and opportunities to leverage AMPT: Advancing Nonprofits for BIPOC led organizations to have access to more resources and funding. I LOVE watching reels and reading social media posts from nonprofits who tell beautiful stories about what they’re able to do with a grant from AMPT. I love facilitating cohorts and sharing insights with other executive directors.
