Having recently worked with several witnesses on "top-up" sessions, either as an addition to our Assurety Classic courses or as part of our longer format Elite+ courses, I have been struck by the immense progress that can be made; and this is often with participants who enter the initial training session either somewhat unwillingly or in an otherwise dis-engaged manner. Taking time to earn participants' trust and giving them time to assimilate and digest learning between sessions often leads to a much more reflective approach and the development of greater self-awareness. This is key, as it means that the witness gets a much greater felt sense of the terrain of cross-examination, their natural 'tells' and triggers, what may be helpful to the court or tribunal ... and all in a way that remains natural and authentic to who they are and the evidence they wish to give. There really is no substitute for accurate, sustained and well-informed practice. #momentsthatmatter

A great statement from Ha (2024): “In the current landscape, training educators around accessibility is often a self-fulfilling prophecy: those already interested in improving accessibility are more likely to undergo training to help them contribute to more accessible spaces, whereas those who do not share a commitment to accessibility do not seek out training opportunities, thus not resulting in improved accessibility (Dallas, Sprong, & Kluesner, 2016, p. 257). Widespread adoption of accessibility around UDL training would be critical to making a large-scale impact in accessibility” (po. 30).

On-The-Job training is the most effective way to teach someone HOW to do something. That's why humans have been doing it for thousands of years. The problem is that it is usually done by more experienced employees, not professional trainers. This introduces variability in your training outcomes. With our Skills Training System, any employee can be a professional trainer and every trainee gets the same, best-in-class experience. Better training = Better business outcomes.
Give all trainees a CONSISTENT training experience regardless of who is teaching them that day. Visit https://lnkd.in/eYk5SPvr to learn more.
