What's on my mind today.... "It’s Wednesday—Here’s What’s on My Mind Today.... Some of the common barriers to organizational progress continues to be silos, communication breakdowns, and power struggles. I’ve noticed that many people still cling to traditional hierarchies and the "chain of command," which often creates more barriers than it breaks down. Imagine a workplace where you can talk directly to decision-makers —where you clearly understand how your value aligns with the company’s goals. It pains me to see the blockages and obstacles people create, all in an effort of self preservation. In a better scenario, you’d know exactly where your unique skills fit into the plan, removing perceptions of threats and reducing power struggles. We all have a role to play, and each of us adds value. It’s our responsibility to know our worth, and it’s the organization’s responsibility to recognize that value and show you how it supports the overall goals. When people see that their unique contributions are valued and understand how they fit into the big picture, it really does drives engagement and motivation. #organizationaleffectiveness #employeeexperience #employeeengagement #culture

Absolutely, culture plays a crucial role in driving an organization forward. It shapes behaviors, attitudes, and values within the workplace, ultimately influencing how employees interact, make decisions, and contribute to the organization's goals. A positive and strong organizational culture can inspire innovation, collaboration, and high performance among employees, making it a powerful engine for success.
Putting your people first is as simple as that...and is the first behavior, part of an amazing company culture. But the key question is how do you put your people first, how do you make them feel #safe, #secure, and #valued so that they can perform and be engaged? Suggestion #1 is to foster a #continuousfeedback culture where people feel safe to give transparent and honest feedback, looking at the situation/behavior/impact. Continuous feedback is not equal to annual or biannually 360 feedback review. What's your approach to putting people first? Thanks, Chris Donnelly for this info.

Why is emotional intelligence becoming the MVP in modern workplaces? 🤔 In today’s dynamic professional environment, technical skills alone aren’t enough. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is increasingly recognized as a critical component of leadership and teamwork. It encompasses self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to navigate interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Consider this: in high-pressure scenarios, those with high EQ are better equipped to manage stress without letting it affect their decision-making process or workplace harmony. They understand the impact of their emotions on others and can constructively channel them to inspire collaboration and innovation. 💡 As we move forward in our careers, let’s prioritize developing our emotional intelligence alongside our technical skills. How do you plan to enhance your EQ? 🌟

👀 Can you see your Culture? Have you ever felt that the company you’re working in is not the same company that you applied to during your interview? How many times do you see a nice wall full of great Values at the building’s entrance, but you cannot see those Values applied in your daily work? That’s because CONGRUENCE is missing! Congruence means that: ☑️ My actions as a CEO are aligned with the values of the company. ☑️ What I demand from people is exactly what I practice on a daily basis. ☑️ I have tools and resources in place that are aligned with the guidelines defined by the values. Research shows that when employees perceive high value congruence, their work engagement and enthusiasm significantly increase. For example, a study found that value congruence has a positive correlation with work engagement and enthusiasm among employees, highlighting the importance of aligning corporate actions with stated values . Now tell me, what’s the level of congruence in your workplace (1-10)? Send me a message 📩 I would love to know 😃 #WorkplaceCulture #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement #CorporateValues #BusinessEthics
