ICYMI ... One would think that if faced with a double whammy of existential and economic threats, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would radically rethink his government’s approach to fighting financial crime. Logic, though, appears to be lost on him and his fellow legislators. That includes Ms. Freeland, who gave this issue short shrift during her four years as finance minister. Ordinary Canadians are about to pay a steep price for the government’s failure to pursue holistic change, despite repeated warnings about the need to better align the country’s anti-money laundering regime with that of the United States. #financialcrime #trade #tariff #fentanyl #aml
Trudeau has failed at everything Rita. He has to go. He is washed up.
Trudeau is not the person who crack down the financial crime, instead the system that should do this job right.
Egregious leadership failure!

1dLeadership starts at the top, and FINTRAC has an obligation to report directly to the Minsiter of Finance (previously Ms Freeland). The lack of governance and common sense has been overlooked by many, in favour for idealism and an “economy that will balance itself” approach. The lasting effects of this decades long daliance with liberal economics will have lasting affects on Canada. The price will be beyond steep. Failure is what it is, no one gets a participation ribbon here.
