Today we’re excited to run an event with our partner SNG and their #iwill Youth Network team. 🙌 Our meeting aims to facilitate connection between network members, increase the confidence they have in delivering their work, and support impact growth. 🏋️♀️ The session will be about Powering Up Youth, sharing our learnings and facilitating reflection and discussion within the group about how we listen to, involve and share decision making with young people. 🗣️ We'll hear from two young leaders about their experiences and suggestions for how to do this work well. “We’re so pleased to have partnered with The Foyer Federation on such an impactful strand of The SNG #iwill Fund, our SNG #iwill Youth Network,” said Ellie Cutler, SNG’s #iwill Fund Project Officer. 📢 We're thrilled to see the Department for Culture, Media and Sport has reconfirmed the allocation of funds from the Dormant Asset Scheme to social investment. Over the next four years, trading charities, social enterprises, co-operatives, and other forms of community enterprise will benefit from £87.5 million. 👦 As is currently the case, a significant proportion - at least £12.5 million - will be reserved for organisations supporting youth outcomes as part of the Government’s new National Youth Strategy. 🌱 The support of the Dormant Assets Scheme for social impact investment has already proven to be a huge success. Since the founding of the Scheme, the social impact investment market has grown 12x over the last 12 years to £10 billion. The new dormant assets funding will enable investment to flow to organisations who are unlikely to have taken on social investment before such as smaller organisations or those based in disadvantaged areas. 🤝 We anticipate further details in the Dormant Assets Strategy and look forward to working closely with DCMS and the Community Enterprise Growth Plan alliance in the next stage. 👉 Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gAifhYsZ

Funding creative and impactful projects to make a tangible difference. ⤵️ Each year, the Dementia Trust launches it's 'Disruption Awards'. But what are they? And how do they work? 🤔 The awards are an opportunity for individuals, groups or organisations to make a difference for and with people with dementia that can have local, national or even international impact. 💥 👉 Trustees look for ideas that can disrupt or diversify thinking, engage the public imagination, and also attract funders so they can give out more funds to individuals and groups in future awards. I'm giving away ₦100,000 to empower young persons skill-wise, but I still need your help I'll be giving away this funds during the FREE Financial, Skill & Value Empowerment (FSVE) Project, in September targeted at 4000 teenagers, undergraduates and fresh graduates Initially, I wanted to just give this financial support of ₦100,000 to few persons, and that's it But I thought of it that, "How about if ₦1,000,000 can be raised through sponsorships & partnerships with brands and individuals, who are passionate about Youth Empowerment too? How far will that go" 🤔 I decided to open my mind to this possibility, and this is a special post, to inform brands & individuals passionate about Youth Empowerment, that FSVE is open to Sponsorships & Partnerships, especially financially I've hosted 2 impact projects which all together directly reached 6000 young persons, and they both were self-sponsored, with no sponsors & partners But we've decided to open this opportunity for you to contribute to the transformation of these lives Want to know how you can sponsor the project, and partner with us? Please check the comment section → Kindly REPOST 🔁 this post, so it can reach the faces of potential sponsors and partners 🙏

Evidence is powerful: It helps us understand the needs of communities, make decisions in times of complexity, and generate stronger and more equitable outcomes. So, "(...) we need to invest in evidence-based solutions if we want to transform the nonprofit sector, find a bigger impact, and get more results. (...)"

What if funders, foundations and philanthropists opened up the same kind of space around issues that's needed for communities to connect and realise what's possible? Modelled funder collaboration across issues, approaches and engagement that the social sector is increasingly asked to undertake to maximise maximise impact? Engaged with their grantees with mindfulness, consideration and clarity in the way that VCSE organisations endeavour to engage their beneficiaries? Can you imagine what kind of world would be possible if funders led with their humanity? https://lnkd.in/eiGxfyzz

𝐘𝐂𝐅𝟑 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲💡 The Youth Challenge Fund is not only about funding youth organisations' projects, but also about building their capacity to better structure and manage their organisations. For this reason, the grantees of #ycf3 were trained in the management of their organisation's communication and visibility. A training that provided them with the necessary elements to sell their potential, to tell what they are doing, how they are transforming their communities and to attract support and partnerships. At the end of the day, the grantees agreed to build and strengthen their communication and to communicate what they are doing.

Exciting to see MacKenzie Scott announce that she has tasked her investment team to “source funds and companies focused on for profit solutions to” the challenges her philanthropy targets and that she seeks to invest in “mission-aligned ventures.” As she explains, that way her money can address these issues twice: first while invested then when those investment returns fuel nonprofit grantees. Your turn: every other philanthropists who has investment assets waiting to make a difference through grants tomorrow but has them sitting impact dormant in a big bank cash account or worse today… Also exciting to realize how much easier it will be for her investment advisors to fulfill this mandate than it would have been even 10 years ago because of the amazing progress and pathways so many impact investors, fund managers, and companies and organizations have made to advance the impact investing field. And this shouldn’t come as a surprise to people who have been paying attention to the concentration of Community Development Finance Institution grantees in her portfolio (Disclosure: I was one of those fortunate grantees when I ran Nonprofit Finance Fund.) But always appreciate when someone explicitly rejects the bifurcated mindset that separates the giving and investment https://lnkd.in/eTvhPC6M Cc: The Global Impact Investing Network Impact Investing Institute Blue Haven Initiative Roy Swan Margot Brandenburg Kieron Boyle Jed Emerson
