🌟 NonprofitSpotlight: Yellow Ribbon Fund 🌟 This Veterans Day, I’m shining a spotlight on the Yellow Ribbon Fund and their commitment to empowering military caregivers and families through their Keystone and Crossroads Programs. 💛 🔹 Keystone Program: Did you know there are over 1.1 million military caregivers in the U.S. assisting post-9/11 service members? These caregivers manage households, provide consistent care, and navigate emotional and financial challenges. Yellow Ribbon Fund’s Keystone Program steps in to offer: ✔️ Career Development opportunities 💼 ✔️ Health & Wellness education 🧘 ✔️ Respite and peer support 🤝 🔹 Crossroads Program: During a service member’s recovery, the Crossroads Program ensures families can stay close by providing fully furnished housing, hotel stays, and transportation at no cost. By keeping families together during critical moments, this program strengthens bonds and fosters hope in difficult times. 🏡🚗 Yellow Ribbon Fund reminds us that true support uplifts everyone involved. 💪🏿 Take a moment to learn more about what they do and see how you can support them. ✨ Link in comments ⬇️ #VeteransDay #MilitaryCaregivers #NonprofitSpotlight #SupportFamilies

It's #NationalDonutDay! What's your favorite kind of donut? Let us know in the comments. Every year on the first Friday of June, Americans celebrate National Donut Day to honor the Salvation Army Lassies, the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during the First World War to lift their spirits. This tradition began in Chicago in 1938. We "donut" know what we would do without all of our wonderful clients! #GJMAccounting #accountingandaccountants #smallbusiness

Appropriately today, we honor our brave Veterans, who served & sacrificed for our country and fought for the many freedoms we all have and in all too many instances, take for granted. Yet today is only 1 day out of 365 in the year. In a respectful way only, perhaps consider cutting out a few Starbucks or something else you can do without, to support their physical & mental health throughout the year, by contributing a few dollars a month, to the below organizations who do good work. Words are easy, actions speak louder. https://lnkd.in/giu4ymyH https://lnkd.in/g-Gzs7yM https://t2t.org/ https://lnkd.in/gfeMHCNq https://help.dav.org/

On this Veterans Day, Feeding Georgia honors the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans and their families. These heroes have made profound sacrifices to protect our freedoms, and we’re dedicated to supporting them by ensuring access to the resources they need. In Georgia, many veterans face food insecurity—a struggle that impacts their health and well-being. Did you know? 13% of military households with children rely on food pantries to make ends meet. A survey of over 8,000 enlisted families found that households with children are more likely to face food insecurity. With one in eight military families with children needing charitable food distribution in the past year, supporting your local food bank is more important than ever. Together, through local food banks and raising awareness, we can stand with those who have served. when you raise young men right.
Dedicated to being the World’s Best Husband to Steph and Dad to 6 Kiddos and a darn good leader at The University of Memphis, US Army Chaplain and Farmer.
The students carrying the casket have never met the man inside. They just know him as a homeless veteran in need. They just know he was important. The University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy created a pallbearer program for their junior and senior students. Participants in the program serve as pallbearers at the funerals of homeless veterans whose bodies were not claimed by family. ^* shared from Mike Ellis.

As a veteran, I understand that Memorial Day can be a bit confusing to navigate. It’s more than just a long weekend; it’s a time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. If you're wondering how to truly celebrate Memorial Day tomorrow, here are a few meaningful ways: 🇺🇸Visit a Memorial or Cemetery: Pay your respects by visiting a local memorial or cemetery. Placing flowers or flags on the graves of fallen soldiers is a powerful gesture of remembrance. 🇺🇸Attend a Memorial Day Ceremony: Many communities hold ceremonies or parades to honor the fallen. Participating in these events can be a heartfelt way to show your respect and gratitude. 🇺🇸Pause for a Moment of Silence: At 3 PM local time, join the National Moment of Remembrance. It’s a small act, but a collective pause can have a big impact. 🇺🇸Support Veterans: Consider donating to organizations that support veterans and their families. It’s a way to give back and ensure that their legacy lives on through continued support. 🇺🇸Share Stories and Memories: If you know a veteran or have family members who served, take the time to listen to their stories or share memories of those who are no longer with us. 🇺🇸Display the Flag: Fly the American flag at half-staff until noon, then raise it to full staff until sunset. It’s a traditional way to honor those who have fallen in the morning and salute living veterans in the afternoon. Remember, Memorial Day is about more than barbecues and beach trips (though I love those too!). It's a day to reflect, honor, and remember. #supportourveterans #veteranshelpingveterans #veteransupport #veteranlife #specialforces #supportourtroops
