🌻 #Ukraine set a record for #oilseeds #processing in MY 2023/24 The oil and fat industry of Ukraine achieved record results in 2023/24 season. The enterprises managed not only to maintain the level of production, but also to exceed it. It is reported by the association #Ukroliyaprom. Total processing volume of the main types of oilseeds reached a record 17.4 mln tons. In particular, the company processed 14.8 mln tons of #sunseed, 1.0 mln tons of #rapeseed and 1.6 mln tons of #soybeans. Batumi oil terminal resumed shipment of Kazakh dark oil products for delivery to European countries using the berthless loading method. Aframax tankers with a carrying capacity of 60 to 80 thousand tons have become a means of transporting these goods to European countries, starting in March 2024. On a regular monthly basis, it is planned to implement the plan for the export of Kazakh petroleum products, which became possible thanks to the development of new transport and transit routes. Since October 2018, large-scale transportation of fuel oil and vacuum gas oil has been suspended, however, the current possibility of using Aframax allows optimizing transport costs, making the route through Batumi not only economically profitable, but also contributing to an increase in cargo transshipment volumes.

Iraq Halting Gasoline Imports. The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has achieved a significant milestone in reducing Iraq's reliance on foreign gasoline imports. Previously, Iraq imported 14 million liters of gasoline. With the Karbala refinery now operational, producing 7 million liters of high-octane gasoline, Iraq has cut imports by more than half! The North Refinery is set to begin operations soon. Additionally, on June 20th, the CCR unit in the North Refineries will launch, adding another 3.5 million liters of locally produced gasoline. This will further reduce our import needs to just 3.5 million liters, which can potentially be eliminated this year with the completion of ongoing projects.
