Why hold trainings dedicated to women? In the U.S., only 7.4 percent of currently employed arborists are women, according to an arborist demographics research summary report on career expert website Zippia.com. Davey was proud to hold a Western Women’s+ Careers workshop in Colorado, a Women’s+ event at the Davey Institute in Kent, Ohio, and an Underrepresented Genders workshop in Chicago this year. These events allowed attendees to connect with peers, participate in team-building exercises and panels, and learn about different areas of fieldwork.
Is this open to all women in the industry or only for those employed with davey?
Love this!
And great shots too! I love them.
Giving women a safe place to be able to learn effectively just like their male counterparts is a great way to ensure women in the space continue to grow!
