Reminder to Mr Ayota Patrick, Managing Director NSSF! Please respond to the letters my lawyers wrote to you demanding access to my invalidity benefits so that I can explore treatment options in or out of country. It is abundantly clear your doctors at Nelson Medical Specialists & The Surgery in Naguru failed to do tests and ascertain answers to crucial questions about my chronic back pain. Misdiagnoses have consequences. You don't get it! I was shocked to hear that they reported to you that I'm not sick, and you believed them without seeking a second opinion. Should this be considered to be an isolated incident caused by human error or is it business as usual? Don't we deserve better? Why should I struggle paying hospital bills out of pocket for a life threatening condition when I have hundreds of millions of Uganda shillingis stashed in my NSSF savings account? Do you think everyone is entitled to medical evacuation overseas at the expense of taxpayers?
The Fund is seeking a committed, innovative and proactive individual with advanced research, investigation, business process and project management skills to fill the position of Data Science Manager. Visit https://lnkd.in/dQJNt2S9 to find out more.

We're hiring! The ideal candidate is: A strong problem solver: You can break down problems using structure and logic and find a smart solution that fits with the bigger picture. An efficient and diligent researcher: You can scour published resources and quickly gain an understanding of “the story” and key takeaways around what you’re researching. Data-driven and analytical: You believe that anything worth doing is worth measuring, and love using data to drive insights. You are driven by intellectual curiosity. Flexible: You can juggle multiple tasks and priorities and thrive in environments with ambiguity and rapid change. You are just as comfortable engaging with high-level stakeholders as you are scheduling meetings and analyzing data sets. A strong and concise communicator: You can quickly and effectively communicate your ideas or explain your thinking to bring others along. Able to work with diverse stakeholders: You understand the working styles and needs of a wide variety of stakeholders and adapt effectively (e.g., academics, executives, creative designers).

Define a “collective problem solving methodology” to increase your team’s ROI and overall satisfaction. Your entire team should have a basic understanding of common problem solving methodologies. Focus on: • Feature requests should include a hypothesis. • Past and current findings should be centrally located. • Individual and departmental work should be traceable back to OKRs. These should be baked into your product operations framework and easy for your team to continually leverage. Don’t have anyone in your company focused on this? It’s time to hire an experienced product operations specialist for your company! Let’s chat.

Hiring, hiring, hiring! Lots of companies are hiring data professionals now. But mostly experienced people.. Why? Because there’s more supply than demand in the market, which makes it very cost-effective to hire experienced people. But that’s very short term thinking, which can lead to a massive shortage of talent in the coming years. Companies - balance your roles and hire more early-career people. We need to grow the next generation.

📊 How is our Team structured? We often get questions from customers, partners or investors about how our team is structured. This is not easy, because our business model requires a broad range of expertise. We are a deep-tech start-up that has developed a highly sophisticated and complex machine learning system. But we also combine expertise in building start-ups and business models with know-how in the cement and concrete industry. 🧱 We have colleagues who have worked for decades in the cement and concrete industry or who have worked intensively in science and research: People from concrete technology, from manufacturers, or people with expertise in building materials. 💻 Additionally we have colleagues who are experts in data science and machine learning. While some got their doctorate in that field, others bring years of experience. What unites them is their strong passion and love for machine learning and AI. 🚀 To thrive as a company we need expertise in business development as well. Members of our team are experts on how to design sustainable and successful business models. They have built organizations in successful startups in the past and are doing it now at alcemy. 📓 Last but not least, we rely on our colleagues that keep the company running. As the heart and soul of alcemy, they manage the office, care for the needs and concerns of our team as well as organize workshops and team weeks. alcemy is the unique place where all of that comes together and creates a working environment in which all teams unfold their true potential to achieve our mission - decarbonize the cement and concrete industry.
