The UAE can be a regional role model for women's economic empowerment, according to UN Women Deputy Executive Director Anita Bhatia. Significant strides have been made, yet women are still 267.6 years away from gender parity in economic participation and opportunity. 🚀 In the UAE, policies like the 2020 decree for equal wages in the private sector showcase the government's commitment to female economic empowerment. However, private sector implementation is crucial for real progress. 💪 Stay tuned as the UAE prepares to launch a new Gender Balance Strategy. Together, we can drive meaningful change and continue to support women's economic empowerment! 🌍❤️ #uae #middleeast #womenempowerment #economicempowerment #femaleempowerment #womenempoweringwomen

A Significant Milestone for Gender Balance in the UAE🇦🇪 With the new Ministerial Resolution 137 of 2024, all Private Joint-Stock Companies must allocate at least one seat for women on their boards by January 2025. This follows the success of similar policies for public joint-stock companies. Here’s why this matters ➤ - 30% women in leadership by 2025 is the goal. - Women will have a greater role in decision-making, driving economic growth and global competitiveness. - The initiatives like the 'Women on International Boards' programme and the 'SDG 5 Pledge to Accelerate Gender Balance are crucial supporters. - Women in the UAE have proven their capabilities across all the sectors, playing an indispensable role. - Equal pay for the same job was enshrined into law in year 2020 and women now hold 50% of the seats in the Federal National Council since 2018. As year 2025 is arriving, the UAE continues to be a global leader in empowering women and this vision promises a future where women's contributions are central to the nation's success. 🌍 #uae #womeninbusiness #genderbalance #empowerment #womenleadership #futuregrowth #womenempowerment #corporategovernance #diversityandinclusion #dubai #sustainabledevelopment #economicgrowth #dubairealestate #realestateagents #fluenceproperties

In 2022, women made 33,419 real estate investments worth over Dh58.8 billion, reflecting the UAE's commitment to gender equality and women's economic contributions. Years ago, the gender gap was obvious, but today women are thriving and leading the industry. Female brokers now make up 34.8% of the sector, with their investments growing by over 50% in volume and value from the previous year. Women’s emotional intelligence gives them an edge in building client relationships, contributing to higher client satisfaction and loyalty. Dubai's strong market and infrastructure provide a platform for professional growth, and women are seizing these opportunities. The rise of women in real estate challenges stereotypes, inspires the next generation, and highlights the importance of mentorship, networking, and work-life balance to ensure lasting progress. Women in Dubai’s real estate industry have proven their resilience and success, and as the market grows, their impact will only continue to expand. #DubaiRealEstate #RealEstateDubai #DubaiProperty #DubaiLife #LuxuryRealEstate #DubaiInvestment #MyDubai #Dubai #WomenEmpowerment #WomenInBusiness #WomenInRealEstate #WomenSupportingWomen #EmpoweredWomen #BossLadies #WomenLeadership #StrongWomen

I recently attended the Mobilize Women Summit and I wanted to share the following analysis of Women's Representation on GCC Company Boards (2024). The GCC Board #GenderIndex #Report 2024 by Heriot-Watt University and Aurora50 reveals that women's presence on company boards in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) remains limited but is gradually improving. 📈 As of January 2024, women hold 5.2% of board seats across the GCC's publicly listed companies, with notable variation among countries. The UAE 🇦🇪 leads at 10.8%, while Qatar is at the lower end with 1.8%. This report establishes a critical baseline for tracking progress in #GenderDiversity and aims to enhance #transparency and foster gender balance in corporate governance across the region. 🕵🏼♀️🧐 🗓️The data will be updated annually to support ongoing #research and initiatives #promoting #female #board representation. 🫶🏼♀️⬆️ How does your county compare? 🌎 https://lnkd.in/dGZhmY3j #WomenOnBoards #MobilizeWomen #FemaleBoardReprentation #Ellevate
