🌿 Meet Alma Tabareh, Graphic Designer at The Beacon Design Collective! We’re thrilled to spotlight Alma, one of our talented graphic designers here at Beacon! Bringing her creative vision and passion for social and environmental impact to every project, Alma truly embodies our values. ✨ What makes Alma a great fit? Alma shares our mission of making a positive difference in the world through design. Her dedication and perspective align with everything we stand for. ✨ Personal values she holds close: “Don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes…or better yet, don’t judge them at all.” ✨ Who would she take to dinner? While many might choose a famous figure, Alma would trade all of those invites to sit down with her grandmother, a woman she never had the chance to meet. Alma’s grandmother lived in Iran before the Revolution, and she’d love to hear her stories and connect with her legacy. We’re grateful to have Alma’s talent and heart on our team! #TeamFeature #DesignForGood #SocialImpact

"Sometimes, the most interesting connections happen when you least expect it. I recently had a casual chat with someone, only to realize I was actually speaking with a potential client! When they asked, 'What do you do for a living?' my response was simple: 'I'm a graffiti designer.' Their curiosity led to a deeper conversation about the creative world of graphic design. For me, being a designer is about standing out, not fitting in. Labels are great, but creativity speaks for itself. Excited to see where this connection takes us! #GraphicDesign #Creativity #Networking #ProductDesign #GraffitiArt"

Beyond Aesthetics: The Power of Inclusive Design in Graphics ! it is breaking down barriers and ensuring our work is more understandable. Accessibility: Consider users with visual impairments, color blindness, or cognitive differences. High-contrast colors, clear text alternatives, and logical layouts make a big difference. Representation: The world is full of vibrant people! Let's showcase that diversity in our illustrations, photos, and iconography. It's about reflecting reality and fostering connection. Wider Reach: Inclusive design opens your work to a larger audience. It's good business and strengthens your brand's message. #inclusivegraphicdesign #accessibility #diversity #designthinking #graphicdesign

Art Direction Lessons from The Grand Budapest Hotel or 🥁🥁🥁 "How art direction transforms a story." One of the most powerful aspects of art direction is how visual design can breathe life into a narrative. Wes Anderson’s *The Grand Budapest Hotel* is an incredible example of this, with its meticulous attention to detail and perfectly crafted aesthetics. Here are three key lessons I’ve applied in my own work: 🎨 Consistency in Visuals Every design element—colors, shapes, typography—must support the same narrative to create a cohesive and memorable experience. 🔍 Attention to Detail Small touches, like texture in ads or micro-interactions in digital design, make all the difference in crafting immersive projects. 💡 Balance & Symmetry A thoughtful composition not only draws the eye but also evokes harmony, making the visual experience feel complete and intentional. What films or artworks inspire your creative process? #ArtDirection #Creativity #TheGrandBudapestHotel #VisualStorytelling

Typography has always been a huge part of my life in design. 🖋️ To me typography serves as the beating heart of visual storytelling, and in 2024, we're witnessing an exhilarating evolution. From the fluidity of variable fonts seen in Google Fonts' 'Recursive' typeface, to the kinetic energy of motion typography exemplified by Apple's launch campaign for the iPhone 13, we're pushing boundaries to craft immersive experiences that not only captivate but also forge meaningful connections. The fusion of typographic innovation with digital storytelling is reshaping brand narratives and elevating user engagement across platforms. Love seeing typography and design trends continue to evolve and excited to see what's next! #TypographyTrends #DigitalStorytelling

"The Secret Superpower of a Graphic Designer…" Ever wonder why graphic designers always seem to know every holiday, festival, and random "World Something Day"? It’s not because we’re calendar enthusiasts… 🗓️ We’ve got a secret. 🤫 Nope, it’s because we have to design something for every. single. one. 😅 Whether it’s Independence Day, World Music Day, or National Donut Day (yes, that’s a thing 🍩), we’re already on it. Imagine this: it’s 3 AM, you’re half-asleep, but you suddenly remember that next week is World Emoji Day. Panic sets in. Why? Because you’ve got to whip up a stunning poster that captures the essence of a winking face 😂, the right mix of 😎 and 🥳, and don’t forget the classic 😁. But hey, that’s the fun part of being a graphic designer, right? You get to be the first to know, the first to create, and, let’s face it, the first to start celebrating a week in advance just so your clients have the perfect visuals. 🎉 So next time you see a designer sharing a "Happy World Ice Cream Day" post, just know they were probably dreaming about it (or at least the design) long before you even knew it was a thing. 🍦 #GraphicDesignLife #DesignHumor #ClientLove #DesignerDiaries #FestivalPrep

Dealing with Doubt: An Aspiring Designer's Story.......... Starting anything new can be scary, especially when you're trying to make your mark as a designer. On platforms like LinkedIn, where there are so many talented designers and people who might want to hire you, it's easy to feel unsure about your work. I often feel torn about sharing my designs. I worry that they won't be good enough compared to what others are doing. Sometimes, I'll only show my designs to friends who aren't designers themselves. If they like what I've done, I feel good about it. But if they don't, it can really knock my confidence, and I might not want to share my work at all. Learning to design on my own has its challenges. I'm always trying to get better, but it's tough when I see amazing work from other designers and wonder if I'll ever be that good. Despite the ups and downs, I know that every mistake I make is a chance to learn and grow. Becoming a great designer takes time and practice, but I'm committed to getting better every day. So, to all the other aspiring designers out there who feel the same way I do, know that you're not alone. We're all in this together, striving to be the best we can be. 😊 With that in mind, I'm taking a leap of faith and sharing one of my designs with you—a poster focusing on typography. #DesignJourney #CreativeStruggle #DesignerLife #TypographyArt #FeedbackWelcome #CreativeProcess #ArtisticExpression
